RELATED LEARNING EXPERIENCE (RLE) ORIENTATION

The USPF College of Health Sciences – Department of Nursing conducted its Related Learning Experience (RLE) Orientation on August 15, 2026 at 8:00 AM, held at the Audio-Visual Hall.

This activity prepares our student nurses for their clinical duties, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary guidelines, expectations, and protocols for safe and meaningful learning in their future affiliated institutions.

The University of Southern Philippines Foundation, College of Health Sciences – Department of Nursing, held its 20th Capping, Badge Investiture, and Candlelighting Ceremony on August 14, 2026 at the USPF Theater for the Performing Arts.

The program commenced with a Holy Mass and the blessing of the caps, badges, and candles. The event was graced by Dr. Lucio Pulmones, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Elaine Mae Patiño, Special Assistant to the President.

The ceremony featured a reenactment of the life of Florence Nightingale, followed by the reading of the significance of the cap, badge, and lamp. The candidates were capped and badged by distinguished nursing leaders from our clinical partners: Cebu City Medical Center, Eversley Childs Sanitarium and General Hospital, and Cebu Maternity Hospital. The event concluded with the Candlelighting Ceremony, the recitation of the Nurses’ Prayer, and the administration of the Nightingale Pledge.

This milestone formally marks the students’ entry into the nursing profession and their commitment to the values of service, compassion, and professional excellence.
