Excellence, critical thinking, and compassionate care took center stage today during our Grand Case Conference on Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing! 🩺📚
Held at the Agustin Jereza Building, this activity provided an essential venue for our students to demonstrate their mastery of concepts, clinical reasoning, and deep understanding of the holistic care required in mental health practice. It highlighted not only their knowledge of theories and interventions but also their ability to view every individual with dignity, empathy, and respect.

The Community Health Nursing 2 – COPAR (NGCM 113L) Grand Case Conference held on May 30, 2026, marked the successful culmination of the course through the presentation of meaningful community-based health interventions and experiences. The level 2 nursing students showcased their knowledge, skills, and commitment in applying the principles of Community Organizing Participatory Action Research (COPAR) in diverse community settings. The activity highlighted collaborative efforts, critical thinking, and evidence-based approaches in addressing real community health concerns. COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND SERVICE ACTIVITY 🤝💙

Grateful hearts and smiling faces filled our venue as we successfully conducted this meaningful outreach activity! 🎉
Organized and implemented by Level 3 – Group 5, under the expert guidance of Clinical Instructor and NSBO Adviser, Dr. Peter Arnold T. Tubayan, in collaboration with the Nursing Community Extension Services Liaison Officer, Mr. Mark Paul Babuena.
This undertaking encompassed essential services designed to uplift community welfare:
📚 Distribution of school supplies to support education
✨️ Livelihood Activity - Squash Balls
🩺 Free blood pressure and blood sugar monitoring for health screening
🧠 Mental health information drive to promote well‑being
🎊 Engaging games and raffle draws with home essentials
👕 Distribution of pre‑loved clothing, generously donated by a benefactor from Hong Kong

The recently concluded Disaster Simulation held on May 25, 2026, marked the culmination of NGCM 120 – Disaster Nursing, showcasing the students’ preparedness, teamwork, and critical decision-making skills in emergency situations. Through realistic scenarios and hands-on response activities, the level IV nursing students demonstrated competence in disaster assessment, triage, and patient care management. The activity highlighted the importance of collaboration, leadership, and resilience in delivering effective nursing care during crises and mass casualty incidents. Congratulations to all students, faculty, and facilitators for the successful conduct of this meaningful and impactful learning experience.

🤝 COMMUNITY EXTENSION SERVICE IN ACTION: SERVICE, EDUCATION, AND EMPOWERMENT
Grateful for the meaningful partnership with Barangay San Miguel, Cordova, Cebu as our future nurses from the College of Health Sciences – Department of Nursing conducted their community outreach and extension activities! 🩺💙
This initiative was carried out by the BSN Level II students, under the guidance of their instructors: Mr. John Rimmon Borces and Ms. Aireen Ortiz, and in collaboration with the Nursing Community Extension Services Liaison Officer, Mr. Mark Paul Balbuena.
As part of their culminating activity, the team conducted a comprehensive Nutrition and Sanitation Symposium paired with practical Livelihood Training, bringing essential health services and skills development directly to the residents.
