Rizwoods Colleges officially celebrates the successful and historic partnership between the Gender and Development (GAD) Office and LoveYourself Cebu in celebration of National HIV Prevention Month. The collaborative event featured a highly impactful HIV Symposium and accessible on-site testing, alongside a comprehensive GAD Orientation tailored for our Rizwoodian students.

This milestone initiative marks a significant step forward in our campus-wide commitment to health education, inclusivity, and student well-being.

We extend our profound appreciation to LoveYourself Cebu for bringing their vital advocacy to our institution.

This endeavor was made possible through the unwavering support and leadership of our School President, Dr. Rizalyn M. Tabanao, RN, MAN, and our Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Monica Lynn T. Tumimbang.

Special appreciation also goes to the dedicated GAD coordinators, the Rizwoods Colleges, Inc. - Cebu City Campus Supreme Student Council, and the Rizwoods Colleges Inc - Student Affairs and Services Office - Cebu City for providing the essential logistics and assistance that ensured a seamless event.

CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES โ€” The Gender and Development (GAD) Office, in collaboration with the OK Cares Foundation, successfully implemented the "With You Through The Rain" program yesterday, August 10, 2026, at the Audio-Visual Room (AVR).

The collaborative initiative directly addresses the ongoing rainy season in Cebu City. The program successfully distributed specialized weather-protection kits to students, faculty members, administrative personnel, and institutional staff.

To ensure maximum protection against seasonal health risks and inclement weather, each distributed kit contained: High-grade protective umbrellas, Emergency clothing (shirts), Absorbent towels, Quality tumblers, and Sanitary wet wipes.

Rizwoods Colleges Inc. - Cebu City Campus expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the OK Cares Foundation, led by its President, Emily Cong. We would also like to highlight the outstanding field ex*****on led by Ms. Jim Race Sarmiento, Community and Field Lead and the current SK Chairperson of Barangay Sudlon II, Cebu City, for making this activity a success.

This impactful GAD initiative was successfully realized through the vital support and proactive leadership of our School Administration, headed by our School President, Dr. Rizalyn M. Tabanao, RN, MAN, and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Monica Lynn T. Tumimbang. Thank you for your continuous commitment to the Rizwoodian community!

The successful ex*****on of this event was made possible through the vital operational support of Rizwoods Colleges Inc - Student Affairs and Services Office - Cebu City, the Rizwoods Colleges, Inc. - Cebu City Campus Supreme Student Council (SSC), and the faculty members of the Criminology, Senior High School, and Nursing departments.
