Thinking Day is celebrated every February 22 to remember the founders of the Girl Scouting and Scouting Movement and to promote unity and friendship among Scouts around the world. Since February 22, 2026 fell on a Sunday and Friday is our designated Scouting Day at school, the Thinking Day Celebration was held in advance on February 20, 2026.
The celebration was participated in by the Girl Scouts and Star Scouts, together with their troop leaders. A simple but meaningful Thinking Day Ceremony was conducted. During the program, selected speakers explained the meaning of each symbol used in the ceremony, such as the candle, rock, chain, compass, and pictures of the founders. These symbols helped the learners understand the importance of faith, strength, unity, direction, and the spirit of Scouting.
The participants also sang the World Song and the Thinking Day Song, which emphasized global friendship and unity among Scouts of different countries. The learners actively participated in the ceremony and showed cooperation, discipline, and respect throughout the activity.
The advance celebration of Thinking Day was meaningful and successful. It helped deepen the learners’ understanding of the Scout Oath and Law and strengthened the spirit of Scouting in the school, contributing to their holistic development.

Several important matters were discussed, focusing on the tasks and responsibilities that we need to work on and accomplish. The meeting was led by our main presider, Dr. Julieta J. Englaterra, our School Principal. She was joined by the other presiders: Dr. Marimel J. Dimayuga, Master Teacher I; Mr. Daven Saul Borbon, BSP Coordinator; and Mrs. Miechel A.
