Today, is our first day of our tutorials for this school year!

We have (2) Grade 7 from CIC (they are our students last summer) to start after their dismissal at 2:45 and a Kinder (Reading Readiness online tutorial) from UAE, a younger brother of my old student during Pandemic.

I'm posting these photos to inspire myself to give more energy, patience and efforts like I used to have to tutor kids from different schools: CIC, STC,USC-NC, MMIS, PCGS,CNU,PAREF Springdale and more.

It's always fun to look back on those good memories.♥️

Maraming salamat po sa mga parents ng online reading readiness noong pandemic.

Nagtuturo po ako ng reading readiness and reading comprehension sa older siblings at ngayon ang patuturuan naman nila iyong mga nakakabatang kapatid. Kahit nasa ibang bansa na sila nakatira possible pa rin ang pagtuturo as long as may Internet connection.

Gaano kahalaga ang Reading? Lahat ng subjects: books, seatwork activities, quizzes and exams sa school ay binabasa. Magiging independent po sila sa paggawa ng mga activities sa school kapag alam nilang magbasa at naiintindihan ang binabasa. Hindi lahat ng readers naiintidihan ang binabasa, so ibang areas din po iyan na dapat e address.

Anu-ano ang mga advantages sa online reading tutorial: hindi na kailangang pumunta pa sa malayo araw-araw para ehatid ang mga bata. Na-momonitor ng mga parents, guardians and care-givers ang progress at learning challenges ng bata. Iyong online platform sa pagtuturo ay capable magproject ng mga learning activities katulad po ng blackboard. Ang g**o ay nakapokus sa pagtuturo at hindi sa pag-deal ng behavior; pwede e-mute iyong bawat isa kapag hindi pa nila turn ang pagbabasa(they will be asked to read 1 by 1). Higit sa lahat mas magiging alerto po sila sa pakikinig; seeing/hearing na nakakabasa iyong mga kaklase nila.Ang drill po sa online reading tutorial, 20% ang pagtuturo ng concept and 80% practice and application sa concept ang isasagawa ng mga bata every meeting.

We don't foster spoon-fed na pagtuturo. For neurotypical kids based sa results sa progress nila online, every month may target na output. For beginners: iyong hindi pa nakakabasa ng basic words would be able to read 3-letter words and phrases after a month. Sa following month, nakafocus sa application ng lessons by sentences. Every month iba-iba po ang topics and target output until confident na sila magbabasa at sasagot sa mga tanong of short stories.

Salamat po sa inyo mga parents na magmemesage sa akin and start a schedule for reading.

*Most of our kids during pandemic are Filipino-speaking students.

Magmessage lang po kayo kung may 5-6 years old or older pa na hindi pa nakakabasa. You can enroll kahit nasa ibang bansa po iyong mga kids ninyo or anywhere dito sa Pilipinas as long as may Internet connection.

Done with our first session today at 7 am to 8 am. It’s a one-on-one session with Chloe.

She is my old student since pandemic time when she’s still in Grade 1 where she learned reading together with her other classmates. She is now in middle school, studying in Canada and I’m still able to teach her via zoom; the same platform we used when we started our online class back then.

We will meet twice a week for her Math and for English writing to practice paragraph and essay writing.

I’m accepting online learners. Whenever you hava a need of a tutor to support your child on those subject areas where they are behind like Reading Readiness, Filipino, Araling Panlipunan, English or Math; I can teach online via zoom. My hourly rate for 1-on-1 is Php 300 only and you can choose once, twice or thrice a week.

During our first meeting, I will give assessment to see which areas they need help and where we would start and focus.

For students in other countries, you may book earlier time schedule.
