When the pandemic brought Ate Elizabeth back home to Samboan, Cebu, she reignited her passion for baking torta, a recipe she first popularized back in 2018 when she owned a carinderia. Her homemade torta quickly became a favorite, but limited tools kept her from meeting growing demand.
But everything changed when she became part of Tindahan Ni Nanay and received the PEER+ Starter Kit subsidy worth ₱10,000. With a new oven and mixer, she finally had the equipment she needed to expand her production and grow her business.
Today, Ate Elizabeth proudly bakes 300 dozen of torta during town fiestas—double the 150 dozen she could make before. With improved efficiency and higher capacity, she is now preparing to expand her product line beyond torta.
With the help of Tindahan Ni Nanay, Ate Elizabeth gained not just upgraded tools, but renewed confidence in her livelihood. ✨
