On November 28, 2025, the Moalboal Gymnasium transformed into a lively hub of joy and advocacy as it hosted this yearโs Childrenโs Month Celebration with the national theme:
โ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐๐-๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ก: ๐๐๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ฆ๐๐ก ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐ก ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ง๐, ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ก!โ
The festivities began with a colorful parade around Moalboal, where students proudly marched to showcase unity, enthusiasm, and their commitment to childrenโs rights. The event was spearheaded by the ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ก ๐๐ค๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ง๐ and ๐ฟ๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐ค๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ (MSWDO) under the dynamic leadership of ๐๐จ. ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ฃ, with the wholehearted participation of the Federation of Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) and Supreme Elementary Learners Government (SELG) Officers, SELG and SSLG Advisers, and School Heads from various schools across the Moalboal District.
A highlight of the program was the ๐๐๐จ๐จ๐๐๐ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ช๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ค๐ง๐ฉ delivered by ๐๐ค๐ฃ. ๐๐๐ฎ๐ค๐ง ๐๐ฃ๐ค๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐จ โ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐โ ๐พ๐๐๐๐ง๐ค๐ฃ, who reaffirmed his administrationโs unwavering dedication to children's welfare. He emphasized that every child deserves care, protection, and opportunities to thriveโremarks that drew heartfelt applause from the audience.
The celebration was further enriched by the presence of distinguished guests and speakers from various sectors who shared their expertise and advocacy for childrenโs welfare:
โ
๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต (DOH) โ Represented by RHU Nurses Mr. Stephan Cabaron, Ms. Charisse Pableo, and Mr. Arnel Gelardino, who provided valuable insights on reproductive health and the pressing issue of early teenage pregnancy.
Represented by PCMS Josefina R. Beriarmente of the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), who emphasized the rights of every child to be safeguarded. She presented RA 8353: The Anti-Rape Law of 1997, encouraging children to speak up and report cases of sexual harassment to their parents, barangay officials, or directly to the PNP. Her message resonated strongly, especially as more cases of abuse are now being reported even within households.
Atty. Kareel Berame shared his insights on RA 11930: The Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children Act (OSAEC) is a Philippine law that punishes and penalizes online sexual abuse or exploitation of children and the production, distribution, and possession of Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM), underscoring the urgent need for collective action to protect children in the digital age and empower the youth to stand against exploitation.
Adding to the excitement, the Jollibee mascot made a special appearance, bringing endless smiles and laughter to the children. His lively dance performance, engaging trivia questions, and the delicious lunch prepared for everyone truly made the day unforgettableโfilling not only their tummies but also their hearts with joy.
The Local Government Unit (LGU) then selected two officers to represent the children on the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC), serving as the official voice of the youth in matters directly affecting their welfare and rights. This significant step ensures that children are not only participants in celebrations but also active contributors in decision-making processes that shape their future. By giving them seats in the council, the LGU highlighted its commitment to empowering young leaders, amplifying their perspectives, and fostering a culture where children are heard, valued, and protected.
Thank you, MSWD and LGU-Moalboal, for this meaningful opportunity. Your unwavering support and commitment to childrenโs welfare made the 33rd National Childrenโs Month Celebration truly special. By working hand in hand with schools, agencies, and the community, you have given our young learners not only a day of joy but also a stronger voice in shaping their future.

Todayโs glucose testing activity at Bala National High School became an important moment for many students. With the help of the Moalboal Lions Club, learners were given the chance to check their blood sugar and understand why monitoring their health matters. For some students, it was their first time getting tested, and it helped them see how small steps like this can protect their well-being.
Along with the glucose testing, a simple but meaningful feeding program was also prepared for the students. The warm meal they received served as a reminder that caring for oneโs health includes proper nourishment and giving the body the energy it needs. This small act of sharing food showed kindness, support, and the communityโs desire to help students stay strong and healthy. The process was simple, but the message behind it was meaningful: your health is important, and early awareness can make a big difference. Volunteers guided the students kindly and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable during the testing, and they served the meals with patience and care.
This activity showed how much the community cares, not just by offering services, but by giving students knowledge and support they can take home and share with their families. Through the glucose testing and feeding program, the Moalboal Lions Club reminded everyone that staying healthy starts with understanding your own body, eating well, and taking action while youโre still young.
A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers, teachers, and Lions Club members who made this possible. Their service, patience, and dedication truly made the day special for the students.

Today, the entire Bala National High School community gathered in prayer and thanksgiving as we prayed the Holy Rosary, formed the Human Rosary, and celebrated the Holy Mass. These sacred activities remind us that every mission begins and ends with God, and that every leadership entrusted to us must always be guided by faith.
This day also marked a significant moment in our schoolโs history as we formally witnessed the turnover of leadership as our outgoing School Head, Mr. Daniel P. Reyes, officially entrusted the responsibility to our new School Head, Mrs. Maricel R. Sabandal.
We express our deepest gratitude to Mr. Reyes for his dedicated service, commitment, and guidance. And we extend our heartfelt welcome and prayers to Mrs. Sabandal as she begins her leadership journey here in Bala National High School with hope, integrity, and renewed vision.
