CADETSHIP PROGRAM | CLASS OF 2026

The University of the Visayas Main Campus – Cebu City, College of Maritime Education proudly extends its warmest congratulations to the members of the Class of 2026 who have successfully secured their cadetship placements under both the International and Domestic Cadetship Programs.

Under the International Cadetship Program, Eastern Mediterranean Maritime Limited has selected 14 Deck Cadets and 13 Engine Cadets, while Leonis Navigation Company, Inc. has welcomed 1 Deck Cadet and 1 Engine Cadet.

Under the Domestic Cadetship Program, Ocean Fast Ferries, Inc. has selected 17 Engine Cadets.

This remarkable achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and perseverance demonstrated by the cadets throughout their academic and maritime training. Their successful placement is a testament to their commitment to excellence and readiness to meet the demands of the global and domestic maritime industry.

As they embark on this new chapter of their professional journey, may they continue to uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, competence, and professionalism while representing the University of the Visayas with pride and honor.

"HIRAYA" has been chosen as the song that will represent our batch a reminder of the dreams we aspire to achieve, the challenges we'll overcome, and the journey we'll take together as future maritime professionals.

May this song inspire us to keep moving forward with determination, unity, and hope as we create memories that will last a lifetime.

ANNOUNCEMENT | 108th Maritime Recognition Rites
July 30, 2026

Batch Brachium Class of 2026!

As we prepare for the 108th Maritime Recognition Rites, all cadets and cadettes are reminded to carefully read and follow the guidelines below.

CALL TIME: 10:00 AM
All cadets and cadettes must be at the venue on or before 10:00 AM. Please eat your lunch before coming. Awardees are highly encouraged to arrive earlier for proper coordination and to avoid delays.

BACCALAUREATE MASS: 11:00 AM
All cadets are expected to attend the Baccalaureate Mass as part of our recognition activities. Please be guided accordingly.

GUEST POLICY
Only THREE (3) guests per cadet will be allowed to enter the gymnasium.
Guests who are 18 years old and below will not be allowed to enter the gymnasium.
Please ensure that all guests comply with the venue guidelines.

📍REQUIRED GALA UNIFORM
• Gala Uniform
• Pershing Cap
• White Gloves
• Black Shined Shoes
• Black Socks

Ensure that your uniform, shoes, and accessories are complete, clean, and properly shined.

📍REQUIRED PINS AND PROPER PLACEMENT
• Philippine Flag Pin – Right chest, above the three (3) green ribbon bars
• Three (3) Green Ribbon Bars – Below the Philippine Flag Pin
• Cross Anchor/Propeller Insignia – Left chest, above the Name Plate
• Name Plate – Left chest
• Two (2) Collar Anchor/Propeller Insignias
• Shoulder Boards – Properly attached on both shoulders

Note: All required pins and uniform accessories are available at TOÑINGS.

📍HAIRCUT AND GROOMING STANDARDS
• 3x4 Haircut (STRICTLY OBSERVED)
• Female cadets must wear a proper and neat hair bun. Loose hair is strictly not allowed.
• Hair must be properly secured to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Female cadets may choose whether to wear light makeup or not. If wearing makeup, it should be simple, neat, and appropriate for the occasion while maintaining a professional appearance.

Let us continue to uphold discipline, professionalism, and military bearing as we celebrate this significant milestone.

Final Rehearsal Successfully Conducted for the 108th Maritime Recognition Rites

The Batch Brachium Class of 2026 successfully concluded its final rehearsal in preparation for the upcoming 108th Maritime Recognition Rites, demonstrating discipline, professionalism, and commitment throughout the program.

The ceremony formally opened with the Invocation, led by D/C John Denver J. Dublin, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the occasion. This was followed by the Address of Gratitude, delivered by D/C Christian Lloyd Bation, expressing appreciation to the officers, instructors, parents, and everyone who contributed to the cadets' journey. The rehearsal concluded with the Pledge of Loyalty, led by D/C Andre Kent Niere, reaffirming the cadets' dedication to the principles and values they have embraced during their training.

The successful completion of the final rehearsal reflects the collective effort and perseverance of every member of the Batch Brachium Class of 2026 as they prepare to celebrate this significant milestone.

We warmly invite everyone to witness the 108th Maritime Recognition Rites on 30 July 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM onwards.

FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT | FINAL REHEARSAL

Attention Batch Brachium – Class of 2026!

The Final Rehearsal for the 108th Maritime Recognition Rites will be held on:

July 23, 2026 (Thursday)
7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

📍Required Attire:
Type A Uniform ( summer white )
Pershing Cap
Black Leather Shoes
Black Socks
Proper Haircut (3x4 Clean-cut appearance)

⚠️ Strictly No Complete Uniform, No Participation.
⚠️ Attendance is mandatory for all graduating cadets.
⚠️ Please arrive on time and observe proper discipline and decorum throughout the rehearsal.

Let us all cooperate to ensure a smooth and successful Recognition Rites.

Recognition Rehearsals 2026 | Batch Brachium – Class of 2026

The University of the Visayas – College of Maritime Education will conduct the Recognition Rehearsals for Batch Brachium – Class of 2026 on July 15, 16, and 17, 2026. These rehearsals are an essential part of the preparations for the upcoming Recognition Rites, ensuring the orderly and successful conduct of the ceremony.

All graduating cadets and cadettes are requested to report at the University of the Visayas Gymnasium (UV Gym) with a call time of 1230H. As they draw closer to this significant milestone, the College encourages everyone to participate actively, follow instructions, and observe proper decorum throughout the rehearsals. Let us work together in making this occasion a meaningful celebration of the achievements, dedication, and perseverance of Batch Brachium.

📌 Important Reminders: All graduating cadets and cadettes are required to bring their Pershing Cap during the scheduled rehearsals.

📍Call Time: 1230H. Please be punctual and avoid being late.
