Congratulations to our third-year Economics majors 𝗥𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗿, 𝗘𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻, and 𝗘𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 for emerging as one of the winners of the 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 (𝗡𝗕𝗘𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱) with their project “𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘒𝘈𝘕𝘎𝘎𝘈: 𝘈 𝘗𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘵 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯 𝘈𝘐-𝘗𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘔𝘰𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘚𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘏𝘶𝘣 𝘪𝘯 𝘌𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯 𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘴.“ The project proposes a solar-powered, satellite-connected mobile learning hub designed to deliver AI literacy and essential digital skills to geographically isolated rural communities. The event was held on November 26, 2025, at the UST Frassati Auditorium, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati Building, University of Santo Tomas, Manila.

Now in its second year as a nationwide congress, NBEC 2025 centers on the theme "𝘐𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦-𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘌𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘺.“ In the midst of rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, automation, and digital connectivity, the congress underscores the urgency of bridging long-standing structural and economic gaps, highlighting the link between innovation, policy, and inclusive development.

USC and Autocount Seal Partnership to Strengthen Accounting Education

The University of San Carlos (USC) has officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Autocount (Philippines) Inc. to integrate Accounting V2 and Cloud Accounting into the Accounting for IT Applications course for students enrolled in the Department of Accountancy. This collaboration will provide students with hands-on experience using both traditional and cloud-based accounting systems, preparing them for the demands of modern accounting practice.

Present during the signing were USC University President Fr. Francisco Antonio T. Estepa, SVD; Department of Accountancy Chair Dr. Challoner Matero; Accountancy Cluster Heads Atty. Cymon Argawanon and Mr. Rey Amaya; lead subject teacher Ms. Marilyn Cortes; and representatives from Autocount, including Mr. Vanadium Ho, Country Manager, Autocount (Philippines) Inc.; Mr. Christian Paro-An, Owner, RC Goldline Saleshop Corporation (Autocount Gold Partner); and Mr. Al Ryan Santiago, Owner, PhilVirtualOffice Business Support Services (Autocount Silver Partner).

This partnership underscores USC’s commitment to preparing students for real-world accounting challenges while fostering strong collaboration with industry leaders.

USC School of Business and Economics Honors New Carolinian CPAs in Memorable Testimonial Dinner

On November 21, 2025, the School of Business and Economics (SBE) of the University of San Carlos gathered at Casino Filipino Pavilion to celebrate its newest Certified Public Accountants in a heartfelt testimonial dinner.

Led by Batch Arcus and joined by successful examinees from other batches, the new licensees were surrounded by proud parents, dedicated faculty, and the entire SBE community. Dean Julius P. Relampagos, PhD, together with the Department of Accountancy, led the evening filled with gratitude and joy for the perseverance that brought everyone to this milestone.

A standout moment was the special tribute to parents and guardians. Families were invited to participate in the ceremonial pinning of CPA pins, a touching symbol of the shared victory between the graduates’ hard work and the unwavering support of their loved ones. This segment beautifully underscored that every CPA title earned is a collective achievement.

Dean Relampagos and the faculty expressed their deep pride, while parents quietly savored the fulfillment of years of sacrifices. As the new Carolinian CPAs embark on their professional journeys, SBE reminded them to carry forward the core values of competence, conscience, and compassion in everything they do.

The School of Business and Economics extends its warmest congratulations to all 2025 CPA board passers and reaffirms that the Carolinian community will always be their home.
