As educators, our job is not to make history comfortable—it’s to teach it as it happened. The past is full of lessons, some inspiring and others painful, but all essential. Being silent about injustice is siding with the oppressor, and erasing history doesn’t change it; learning from it does. In a world where misinformation spreads easily, we must teach critical thinking, question sources, and seek truth. Let’s challenge our students to think deeply, speak up, and grow from the past rather than ignore it.

This back-to-school mom rant is priceless. I couldn't have said it better myself.
