A friend's mother of our fellow Red Cross Youth member is in critical need of platelet donor after her critical C-Section surgery. Despite their family’s efforts, no suitable donor has been found yet. We are appealing to your generosity and compassion to help save a life.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭? 🩸💉

- Platelets are vital for patients undergoing chemotherapy, organ transplants, or battling severe bleeding disorders.
- Unlike whole blood, platelets have a short shelf life of only 5–7 days, making regular donations critical.
- Your donation can help cancer patients, accident victims, and those with blood disorders recover faster.

🩸 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 🩸
- Age: 18–50 years old.
- Weight: At least 50 kg (110 lbs).
- Health: Must be in good health, with no infections or chronic illnesses that prevent donation.
- Hemoglobin: Normal levels (usually checked before donation).
- No recent medication: Aspirin or aspirin-containing drugs should not be taken within 48 hours before donation.
- Lifestyle: No risky behaviors that increase chances of bloodborne infections.

🌋 Mt. Kanlaon Eruption | Ashfall Safety Advisory ⚠️

Mt. Kanlaon has recently erupted, releasing ash plumes that have blanketed nearby communities. Ashfall poses serious risks to health, food, water, and transportation. It can irritate the eyes, nose, and throat, worsen respiratory conditions, contaminate supplies, and make roads slippery. Protect yourself and your loved ones by following these safety measures:
