🌟 BKD Day 2024: A Huge Success! 🌟

Our BKD Day at Tuburan National High School was a fantastic day filled with learning, unity, and inspiration. This event brought us together in the fight against drugs and to promote responsible, safe choices for a brighter future. It was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when our community joins forces to support and uplift each other! 💪🚦

Drug awareness and safety education play a crucial role in guiding young people to make informed, healthy decisions. By understanding the dangers of drugs and the importance of responsible actions, we empower ourselves to build safer communities and a future filled with positive choices. Events like BKD Day are essential because they provide our youth with the tools and knowledge they need to stay strong, make wise choices, and positively influence those around them. 🌱✨

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our incredible guest speakers who made this event truly impactful. PCpl. Jackelyn Bravo delivered an eye-opening talk on the Anti-Bastos Law, reinforcing the importance of respect and responsibility. PEMs. Gregorio Licayan gave a captivating session on drug awareness and safe driving, encouraging our students to make smart choices for their own safety and well-being. Your messages have left a lasting mark on everyone who attended! 🚫💉🚗💡

Tuburan National High School's Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Day is just around the corner! Mark your calendars for November 8, 2024 as we come together to uplift and empower our youth to make smart, healthy choices! 💪🚦

✨ Theme: "Drive Safe, Live Well: Empowering Youth Against Drugs and Dangerous Driving"
This year, we’re focusing on promoting safety, responsibility, and well-being among young people. Whether it's saying NO to drugs or prioritizing safe driving, every choice counts toward building a brighter future. 🚫💉🛵

🗣️ Join us for inspiring talks, and fun activities that foster awareness and a sense of community. Together, we’re creating a safe space for learning, growth, and resilience. Let's show our commitment to living drug-free and driving responsibly!

MECHANICS/GUIDELINES
Theme: “Drive Safe, Live Well: Empowering Youth Against Drugs And Illegal Driving”
1. This contest is open to all students in grades 7-12. Each section of every grade level will have 1 participant.
2. The contest will be held at Ms. Jaivy Dy’s Room.
3. Only materials that can be used are White Cartolina, markers, pencils and crayons, oil pastel, acrylic.
4. Content of slogan should be related to the theme.
5. Artist will be given 1 hour to do their work.
6. The slogan should be concise, with a maximum of 7 words to ensure clarity and impact.
7. The competition will have 3 winners; Champion, 1st Placer, and 2nd Placer.
8. Winners will be identified at the end of activity.
9. The contest will occur on November 8, 2024, Friday in the afternoon, during the BKD Day.
Criteria for Judging
1. 30% Relevance to Theme
2. 25% Creativity and Originality
3. 20% Impact and Memorability
4. 15% Neatness/Cleanliness
5. 10% Language and Style

𝐓𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬’ 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦

The spirit of giving transcends the confines of specific months or seasons. We, Tuburan-NHS Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) together with other Tuburan National High Schools' student- organizations for the academic year 2023-2024: Barkada Kontra Droga(BKD), Tuburan-NHS Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O), and Ang Tinubdan Publication firmly believe in embodying generosity and uplifting our community through collaborative action.

In closing out the current term, we are proud to announce an Outreach Program in partnership with the Association of Tuburan Youth Volunteers. This initiative, themed "Campus to Community: Empowering Lives through Compassionate Collaboration," will be held on July 9th, 2024, at Sitio Lamakan, Barangay Tominjao, Tuburan, Cebu.

As tomorrow's leaders, we, the youth, hold the potential to illuminate a brighter future. Let us translate this potential into action by joining us in this impactful endeavor.
