The Department of Education (DepEd) has mandated that public schools adopt a three-term academic calendar starting School Year 2026–2027 under DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2026. The reform aims to rationalize instructional time, decongest the academic calendar, and strengthen learning continuity by restructuring the school year into three streamlined instructional terms.
