True to its nature of nurturing potential, the Grade 11 of Maria Montessori International School- Senior High School showcased their talents once more.
Last April 13, 2024, the Grade 11 STEM, ABM, and HUMSS students demonstrated their gifts in capturing the hearts of their viewers through singing, dancing, and acting. The Grade 11 ABM and HUMSS performed their rendition of Marcelino Agana Jr.’s “New Yorker in Tondo”, which was directed by Nathaniel Cerdeña, and assisted by Yoonsuk Lee and Christine Catubig. Their presentation presented the themes of betrayal, and how important it is for one to learn how to look back from where they came from.
After the combination of laughs and a tinge of drama, the Grade 11s of the STEM strand also performed their version of the Disney film “Tangled” under the direction of Wynonah Beatriz Quinto, and assisted by Luke Jeremy Compayan and Sage Sandigan. The play of STEM also encapsulates what stepping outside of our comfort zone brings and teaches us.
After thorough deliberation, we would like to extend our congratulations to the following awardees:
Best Actor- W***y Marco Caballero (Eugene Fitzherbert (Flynn Rider), A Tangled Musical)
Best Actress- Mary Leanne Leopoldo (Rapunzel, A Tangled Musical)
Best Supporting Actor- Uno Raphaelle Longakit (Totoy, New Yorker in Tondo)
Best Supporting Actress- Adelle Mae Chiong (Mother Gothel, A Tangled Musical)
Best Director- Wynonah Beatriz Quinto (A Tangled Musical)
On behalf of the cast, crew, and everyone involved in bringing these performances to life. We extend our sincere appreciation for the presence of those who were with us during the performances. May the emotions stirred that day resonate with you, and may the magic of the stage continue to inspire and illuminate.
Congratulations, Grade 11 of Batch 2023-2024 for the spectacular performances. May you continue to keep the fire burning inside you and keep on inspiring us with your efforts.
