Celebrating healthy cooking and inclusive talent at Lutong Bahay! Last Friday, March 7, 2025, CTU-Pinamungajan Campus students from different departments showcased their culinary skills in our cooking competition themed “Women towards Healthy Goals” as part of Women’s Month. A true celebration of creativity, wellness, and empowerment for all!

After the first round of the event, the Supreme Student Government (SSG) Officers organized a Free Pospas distribution, strengthening camaraderie and fostering community spirit among students and faculty.

LOOK: In celebration of National Women’s Month 2025, Cebu Technological University - Pinamungajan Campus kicked off the month-long celebration with a parade honoring the strength, resilience, and contributions of women.

Faculty, staff, and students led the parade, embodying this year’s theme: “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.” Their participation highlighted the importance of women’s leadership and empowerment in education and beyond.

This year’s theme: “𝘽𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙚 𝙨𝙖 𝙇𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙚𝙠𝙩𝙤𝙧, 𝘼𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙪𝙠𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙖 𝘽𝙖𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙨" aims to empower women, promote gender equality, and ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities.

This observance is deeply rooted in the global commemoration of the International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8, a tradition born from the early 20th-century activism of women advocating for labor rights and gender equality. Between 1909 and 1911, working women in the United States, united under the National Women’s Trade Union League and other groups, rallied against low wages, insufficient protective legislation, and harsh working conditions.
