LOOK | No work from May 6-8 for ASEAN Summit
Work operations at Cebu Normal University (CNU) are suspended following the governmentโs declaration of May 6โ8 as special non-working days in parts of Cebu for the 48th Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit (ASEAN) Summit.
The declaration, issued through Proclamation No. 1239, places Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, and the Municipality of Cordova under special non-working status to ensure smooth logistics, security, and traffic management for the international gathering.
In compliance, work operations at CNU today, May 6, will only run until 12:00 noon.
University offices will then remain closed from May 7 to May 8, in line with the holiday declaration.
Regular operations, including administrative work and academic activities, will resume on Monday, May 11.
The ASEAN Summit is expected to bring together leaders from Southeast Asian nations to discuss regional cooperation, economic growth, and security, placing Cebu once again at the center of a major international event.
