Dr. Jayeel S. Cornelio, Director of the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (SEI) and a Professor of Development Studies at Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU), continued the last plenary talk by discussing his topic “𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.”

"𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮, 𝙢𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧-𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙠," He pointed out that the development of modernity has created a repeating cycle of risk that is unsustainable and lacks global equality for the future.

Dr. Cornelio emphasized the importance of empathy and care in building a resilient future and highlighted the role of education in preparing younger generations for economic, political, and cultural life in the public sphere centered on care.

The plenary session continued with Ms. Erika Dell Sancho, CPA, MDM, Chief Executive Officer of MATA Technologies Inc., in Cebu City, who presented her topic titled “𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲.”

In her discussion, she explained that MATA Technologies Inc. is an organization focused on reducing carbon footprints while promoting inclusivity for people. She emphasized their advocacy by stating, “𝐖𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦, 𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬.” MATA Technologies has also received recognition from the United Nations for its innovation and impact.
