A Call for Compassion: Supporting the Mongas Family

The CTU-Carmen community is heartbroken to share the news of the passing of our beloved 4th-year BEEd student, Jemaica Mongas (Section 4C), who left us on November 2, 2025. As her family navigates this profound and sudden loss, they are facing significant financial burdens.

Today, as we reach November 16, our campus is still wrapped in quiet grief for Jemaica Mongas, a beloved BEEd 4C student who was meant to march with her batch this academic year 2025—2026. Her passing on November 2, 2025, and her burial on November 9, left a deep ache in the hearts of her family, friends, and the entire CTU-Carmen community.

Jemaica was a light in her class—a student with dreams, determination, and hopes that reached far beyond the four corners of a classroom. Her journey was one step away from graduation, yet life had written a different chapter for her. Even so, her kindness, humility, and dedication remain etched in the memories of those who knew her.

As her family continues to face both emotional and financial burdens, the Supreme Student Government (SSG) calls on the compassion of the CTU-Carmen community through an ongoing donation and support drive. Your help—big or small, in any form—will bring comfort to the Mongas family during this painful time.

The Annual Civic Parade in the Municipality of Carmen became a meaningful display of unity and devotion as we took part in the celebration for the upcoming fiesta of "𝐒𝐫. 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡". With the faculty and staff walking alongside the department officers, our presence was a reflection of solidarity and shared purpose in honoring our beloved patron.

The "𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞" joined the annual civic parade and together with the respective student organizations, the parade turned into more than just a march—𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡, 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬. Truly, this experience reminds us that beyond the festivities, it is our unity and faith that give meaning to honoring "𝐒𝐫. 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧", the patron who continues to guide and bless our town.
