Yesterday’s seminar, “GEAR UP: From Campus to Career — Ready for What’s Next,” was designed to help us fine-tune the most important components of our future.

We were honored to begin the morning session with 𝐌𝐬. 𝐏𝐢𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐚, Manager of Learning and Development and Deputy Director of Angat Cebu BPO. As a TED Talk speaker and advocate for SOGIE and Human Rights.

The declaration covers Cebu City and Mandaue City, alongside previously identified areas including Lapu-Lapu City and Cordova, in support of the 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 2026.

Every worker deserves fair wages, proper protection, and the opportunity to live with dignity despite the growing economic pressures.

Earlier today, the Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Interns gathered at the 8th Floor CBA AVR, University of Cebu Jones Building for the successful conduct of 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: Transforming the Future of the Accounting Profession, with the theme Tax Right, Tech Driven: Integrity in the Digital Era.

Held in partnership with 𝗣&𝗔 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻 and 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗻, the seminar served as a meaningful platform for aspiring accounting professionals to gain valuable insights on innovation, ethics, and the future of the profession.

For the first session, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗚. 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼 discussed The Digital Transformation of the Accounting Profession, highlighting how technology continues to reshape accounting practices and create new opportunities in the industry.

For the second session, 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗠. 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘀, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, Director for Tax, Advisory and Compliance of P&A Grant Thornton, presented Tax Right: Ethics at the Core of Compliance, emphasizing the importance of integrity, responsibility, and ethical standards in taxation and professional service.

Indeed, ELEVATE 2026 inspired future accountants to embrace change, uphold ethical principles, and prepare themselves to lead in an ever-evolving profession. 📈💼
