For each of the five decades
On each "Our Father" bead of the rosary, pray:�V. 👉Classes are SUSPENDED from 13Oct-18Oct2025 for All Public Daycare, Kindergarten, Elementary, and High School classes shall continue online.

For Private Schools and Public Colleges, administrations are given the discretion to evaluate their facilities and decide on appropriate class arrangements based on safety

In line with this, we are advising everyone to study and practice earthquake preparedness measures. It is important that all pupils, students, and school personnel know what to do before, during, and after an earthquake.

🧭 Earthquake Preparedness Guidelines:

Before an Earthquake:

• Secure heavy furniture and breakable items.
• Prepare an emergency “Go Bag” with essentials (water, flashlight, first aid kit, etc.).
• Identify safe spots in your home or classroom (under sturdy tables or near interior walls).

During an Earthquake:

• DROP, COVER, and HOLD ON.
• Stay calm and remain in a safe position until shaking stops.
• Keep away from windows, shelves, and objects that may fall.

After an Earthquake:

• Check for injuries and provide first aid if needed.
• Evacuate calmly and proceed to open areas if necessary.
• Listen to official announcements and be prepared for aftershocks.

Let us all remain alert, prepared, and cooperative.
Learning continues, even in times of precaution.

Subject: Immediate Safety Measures Following the Recent Earthquake
To All School Heads, Teachers, and Personnel
From: Schools Division Office – Cebu City
Date: September 30, 2025

Following the recent earthquake felt in Cebu City, all schools are hereby directed to prioritize the safety of learners, personnel.

Immediate Actions:

Shift to Modular Distance Learning (MDL):
All face-to-face classes shall temporarily shift to Modular Distance Learning (MDL) until buildings are inspected and cleared.

Building Safety Inspection:
School buildings and facilities must be checked by licensed engineers and structural experts before resuming onsite activities.

Coordinate with LGU engineers or DPWH for rapid assessment.

Submit inspection reports to the SDO DRRM Coordinator as soon as available.

The Division places utmost priority on the welfare of our learners and personnel. Your full cooperation is expected to ensure everyone’s safety.
