The versatility and utility of cassava make it promising as human food, animal feed, alcohol, medicine, etc. Some feed millers in the country use cassava as part of their formulation, replacing about 30%-50% of the corn in the feed ration. In Thailand, the millers use cassava leaves, stems, and roots. These are processed into pelleted meals and are being exported into European countries.

Cassava is also used for industrial products like textile, binders, and as plain raw material in making biodegradable items. (Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development)
