𝐂𝐂𝐉 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐎𝐍 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐘

The 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 successfully conducted the 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒔 𝑺𝒂𝒇𝒆𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑺𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒓 on December 6, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the CIT-U Elementary Activity Area. The seminar was attended by the Barangay Public Safety Officers (BPSOs) of Tisa as part of the college’s ongoing community extension activities.

This initiative forms part of 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑗𝑒𝑐𝑡 𝑆𝐻𝐼𝐸𝐿𝐷: 𝑆𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐻𝑒𝑟𝑜𝑒𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝐵𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑦'𝑠 𝐿𝑜𝑐𝑎𝑙 𝐷𝑒𝑓𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑒, a program designed to enhance the operational readiness of BPSOs through continuous training and capacity building.

The participants received essential training on responsible fi****ms ownership, covering relevant laws, regulations, and safety protocols. The discussions were facilitated by Atty. Francis May Jacaban, a faculty member of the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞, while criminology students were also present to observe and gain valuable insights aligned with their field of study.

The activity was honored by the presence of Dr. Shella Debbie Maningo, College Dean, and Dr. Luni Villacastin, Head of the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞, whose continued support strengthens 𝐂𝐂𝐉’s commitment to community engagement and public safety.

To conclude the event, a distribution of Bundles of Joy was conducted as a gesture of appreciation to the BPSOs for their continuous support. The seminar’s success was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Junior Criminology Council, faculty, and staff who assisted as facilitators throughout the activity.
