Looking at it now, Lee Min Ho joked that he must not have been “in his right mind,” before pointing out that the hairstyle actually became a trend at the time.
The bigger revelation was how badly he wanted the role. Lee Min Ho said he deliberately showed up to the Boys Over Flowers audition wearing the hairstyle because he was desperate to land the project. Before becoming Gu Jun Pyo, he had spent roughly five years taking smaller roles, including unnamed employees and friends of other characters.
