𝐌𝐆𝐀 𝐀𝐊𝐃𝐀 𝐌𝐔𝐋𝐀 𝐒𝐀 𝐃𝐄𝐊𝐀𝐃𝐀 ‘𝟕𝟎

𝐃𝐞𝐤𝐚𝐝𝐚 ‘𝟕𝟎 by 𝐋𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚 is a novel set during the turbulent 1970s in the Philippines during the administration of Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

The story follows the experiences of a middle-class family focusing on Amanda, and her journey of self-discovery and awakening amidst the political unrest. As the family navigates through the effects of the dictatorship. The novel explores the struggles of the children, who in turn become involved in activism and the fight against the oppressive regime. Through the protagonist, the book reflects the personal, familial, and societal challenges of the era, highlighting themes of courage, resistance, and the pursuit of justice.

ON THIS DAY, the 25th day of February 1986, the Filipino people have successfully ousted President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., in a triumphant means of a non-violent revolution and reinstating democracy back to the country. For two decades, the Marcos regime committed multiple atrocities against the Filipino people such as their ill-gotten wealth and human rights violations. This era is marked as the darkest times of Philippine history, and is one of the most well documented events of the century that is often tampered by multiple revisionists throughout the years.

Historical Revisionism still looms within our country, as a crisis. Multiple disinformation and fake news continues to spread throughout the nation to instill propaganda. The Commission on Career and Learning Extension, advocates to battle this problem by commemorating the anniversary of the People Power Revolution and to spread awareness on the full truth of the Martial Law.
