Last month, The Math Scion officers did a small campaign to different sections. The Math Scion officers introduce their objectives and possible activities of the club.

In 2005, Gallup conducted a poll that asked students to name the school subject that they considered to be the most difficult. Not surprisingly, mathematics came out on top of the difficulty chart.
Recent surveys report that 37% of teens aged 13-17 found math to be harder than other subjects – the highest ranked overall. For many students, math is not something that comes intuitively or automatically - it takes plenty of effort. It is a subject that sometimes requires students to devote lots and lots of time and energy.

The Math Scion is created to make mathematics a subject that is important to learn, attached to the students heart , and in bisaya if we will say "Scion" it will always get in our mind "sayun" which means easy . Math Scion is here to help you find learning math more fun and interesting.

The Club's objectives :

• Develop students skill and knowledge in understanding mathematics
• implements various activities that promotes positive outlook in learning mathematics
• Meet new friends or study buddy especially in math and ;
• Enhance students interest in learning mathematics

Possible Platforms/Activities :

1. Math Tutoring classes every Tuesday and Friday class building 2nd floor first room ( After class sa 10-Faith )
2. Saturday/Sunday trivia
3. Damath Board game
4. Making of educational videos about mathematics ( and posting it on our social media accounts )
5. And etc.

Why is it nice to join the Math Scion ?

- Math is a subject that most of the students hates and finds it as a boring subject . The math Scion will help you foster your interest in learning mathematics and enhance your cognitive skills . And change your mindset or perspective about learning math , that learning math is fun . Because if are learning something and we are having fun it will help us to understand or too learn what we are learning more easily .

- We will help you to scuffle the reason why most of the students struggles at math .
1. Attention difficulties.
2. Math always builds upon previous concepts
3. Lessons are learned but not understand.
4. Lack of practice or patience
5. “When am I ever going to use this?” mindset .

I hope everyone will find Math Scion an interesting club and let us all help each other to end the struggle and difficulties in learning Mathematics.
