• Each participant is allowed to submit ONE ENTRY ONLY.
• Digital posters or PubMat should be created using digital design software or tools.
• Participants must create an original design that effectively provides information related to the theme.
• Entries must be submitted in JPEG fit to A4 size paper format via gmail before the deadline.

WHAT: 𝙎𝙋𝙀𝘼𝙆 𝙐𝙋: 𝟯-𝓜𝓲𝓷𝓾𝓽𝓮 𝓢𝓹𝓮𝓮𝓬𝓱 𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓼𝓽

QUALIFICATION:
✅This contest is open to all SCSIT college students.

GUIDELINES:
• Each contestant shall only be given 3 to 5 minutes to compose his/her ideas before the delivery. Use of paper and pen for this purpose is NOT ALLOWED.
• The contestant shall deliver his/her piece while standing. Each speech must be delivered for a minimum of two minutes to a maximum of three minutes.
• The medium shall be in English. One topic shall be given to all contestants.
• There are two rooms in the contest proper. One room for the preparation where the contestants start to organize their speeches and another room for the contest area.
• Three consecutive bell rings shall serve as a warning for the last minute of delivery. The microphone shall be automatically muted when his/her time is up.
• The contest will happen on MONDAY, January 29, 2024. All the contestants must be on time, at exactly 2 pm. Latecomers will automatically be disqualified.
• Proper dress code (formal attire) must be observed.
• The judges' decision is final and irrevocable.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:
• Organization of Ideas=25%
- Flow of ideas must be clear and appropriate to the topic. The speaker must focus on the key ideas and main points of the given topic/question. Proper use of grammar, cohesive devices, and formal way of speaking must be observed.
• Content Sufficient =35%
- The speaker must use logic, facts, examples, and/or expert opinion. He/she must use information pertinent to the specific topic. Overall, it must have a direct and concise statement prior to the given topic.
• Delivery=40%
- Appropriate use of pauses, punctuation, intonation, and modulation of voice. Delivery must be natural and a spontaneous speaker must exhibit poise and confidence. Speakers must observe correct pronunciation with proper articulation of words.
• TOTAL =100%

GUIDELINES:
• The is open to all bonafide students of SCSIT.
• All entries must be written in English and must have at least 300 words and must not exceed 600 words.
• Topic will be given during the contest proper.
• The contestants shall be given 1 hour to develop the composition.
• The contestants shall be provided with a pen and necessary materials marked with the assigned number.
• They are required to register their name and department before the contest.
• No printed materials, electronic gadgets, or storage devices shall be utilized.
• The top 5 winners will be announced immediately after the judges have finished rating. BEST THREE will be announced at the Founder’s Week Awarding Ceremony. The Top 5 will be registered as official members of Sky Blazer's Media Team.
• The judges’ decision is final and irrevocable.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
• Content=50%
- Relevance to the theme, comprehensiveness, originality, insights
• Organization =30%
- Clarity of thoughts, creativity, unity and consistency
• Mechanics =20%
- The correct use of punctuation, capitalization, and grammar.

• This is an individual contest, there is no maximum number of participants from each department, as long as the participant abided the activity guidelines.

• All entries must be an ORIGINAL material personally taken by the participant and should not include watermarks, signatures, frames, date, time, or other markings on the photo.
• Digital manipulation is not allowed.
• Entries will be automatically disqualified if there are offensive, harmful and proactive content.
• The entry to be submitted should be in a JPEG or PNG format with a corresponding “PHOTO TITLE”.

As we celebrate the founding celebration of our institution, the Supreme Student Government deems it necessary to uplift the spirit of “PAGPASIKAT”, a Cebuano term for 'expose', ‘to showcase', 'show off', and ‘to reveal’. This activity is an avenue to provide opportunities and awareness for all Salazarians through various activities and exposures, that is, to develop and discover their talents and creativity.

The contest is open to all SCSIT-Madridejos students. Individual pubmats for every contest will be posted very soon.

Interested participants may visit the SSG office to complete the registration process, and provide the necessary information.
