USJR SHS PF's in Action: Bringing God's Love to the People

It fills us with great joy to witness the smiles on the children's faces during our Community Outreach Program on May 16, 2023, at the Holy Cross Parish, Villa Kalubihan Chapel. This program was dedicated to serving the nearby community of our school, which benefits a total of 47 recipients.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Chapel President for providing their invaluable support, and to the more than 50 USJ-R Senior High School Students who selflessly volunteered their time and effort to ensure the success of this activity. We are also deeply appreciative of the cooperation of the barangay officials, who played a vital role in facilitating the program and expressed their gratitude for choosing their venue.

The Peer Facilitators showcased their unique skills in facilitating, mentoring, and entertaining. Through mini-catechesis, team-building activities, and the provision of goods, they brought joy and enlightenment to the children. The genuine happiness and gratitude shared by the children towards their "ates" and "kuyas" was truly heartwarming.

As the activity neared its conclusion, the impact of the community outreach program became undeniable. It created a positive influence in the community, providing a wonderful opportunity to give back and emphasizing the value of peer support and mentorship. This program ignited a new journey of hope, joy, and empowerment for the children, infusing their lives with deeper meaning and significance.

Let us always remember that no act of kindness is too small. By bringing happiness to others, we not only uplift and empower them but also ourselves. Together, we can continue to make a profound difference in the lives of those we touch with our love and compassion.
