Integrating Math and Disaster Preparedness
Our Grade 11 students worked on a collaborative project between Basic Calculus and DRRR, applying optimization concepts to design open-top boxes and incorporating them into their DRR dioramas. This activity connected mathematical problem-solving with real-world disaster preparedness, showing how different subjects can come together in practical applications.

Two Grade 9 Science Class students and three Grade 11 STEM students had the chance to meet National Scientists Carmencita D. Padilla, Academician Camilo C. Roa Jr., and Cristina J. Montiel of NAST PHL, as well as Outstanding Young Scientists Dr. Adrian Ybanez, Dr. Danilo Largo, and Dr. Ronnie Baticulon in the recently concluded Scienteach Symposium for the Youth in partnership with DOST Region VII. Feeling inspired by their stories and contributions, they are ready to dive deeper into the world of science and technology.
SCIENTEACH: Symposium for the Youth is a series if episodes that showcases varying topics featuring National Scientists, NAST Members, and its awardees who are accomplished in their fields of expertise. It aims to promote science and technology, bring our scientists closer to the youth, and inspire and encourage the students to pursue a career in science.
