Held yesterday, CITU SHS Family Day brought students and their families together for a day filled with fun, laughter, and meaningful connections. The event featured exciting activities such as the Egg Drop Challenge, where creativity and problem-solving were put to the test, Trip to Jerusalem that energized everyone with teamwork and strategy, and the Bingo Social that sparked joy and interaction among participants.

More than just games, the event highlighted the spirit of cooperation, unity, and strong family bonds within the CITU SHS community—making it a truly memorable experience for all. 💙

CONGRATULATIONS!

Our very own Senior High School students showcased excellence and innovation as they emerged victorious in the Engineering Next: Ecostruct Challenge Cebu 2026, held at SM Seaside Cebu and organized by SWU PHINMA.

Competing against top senior high school teams across Cebu, they demonstrated outstanding skills in the Math Quiz Bowl proving their strength in engineering, teamwork, and creativity.

Their victory reflects not only academic excellence but also a commitment to building innovative and sustainable solutions for the future.

Winning team: James Steven Flores - 11 Integrity, Bash Jhayden Eborda - 11 Altruism, and Nathan Ryle Quilaton - 12 Altruism.

SHS Days has officially come to a close!

The four-day celebration was filled with fiery passion and friendly rivalry as the different houses battled it out under this year’s theme, “SHS Days: Order of the Phoenix,” inspired by the world of Harry Potter.

Throughout the event, students showcased their diverse talents and skills—from physical sports, esports, and board games to entertainment and arts. The celebration also highlighted our rich Filipino heritage through Laro ng Lahi, reminding everyone of the value of culture, teamwork, and school spirit.

Congratulations to our brilliant students for their outstanding performance at the Astrophysics Quiz 2526 held at the University of San Carlos – Talamban Campus! 🌌✨

From conquering the elimination rounds to securing a spot in the Top 4 schools with an impressive cumulative score of 41 points from the easy to hard rounds, you truly showcased excellence, grit, and mastery of astrophysics. Even as the lightning round reset all scores to zero, you stood strong and finished proudly as First Runner-Up.

Do take note of the following dates for your examination. Grade 12 students will proceed with AM schedules for their exam while the Grade 11 students will have it in the afternoon.

Classroom assignments will follow the orientation classrooms except for sections Modesty and Nobility. Your advisers will announce your classroom assignment.

Do prepare for the 3rd Periodical Examination.

Due to the possible onslaught of Tropical Depression Basyang, classes tomorrow will be conducted through ASYNCHRONOUS learning to ensure everyone’s safety.

Students are advised to stay indoors, prioritize safety, and complete the assigned tasks that will be posted by their subject teachers. Please stay updated through official school channels for further announcements.

ADVISORY | Suspension of Face-to-Face Classes

In line with the announcement of the Cebu City local government and based on the recommendation of the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, face-to-face classes in all levels are temporarily suspended tomorrow, February 5, 2026, due to the possible adverse effects of Tropical Depression Basyang.

Further instructions and academic adjustments will be communicated by the advisers and instructors via MSTeams.

The safety of every Technologian remains our priority. Please stay safe and continue to monitor official CIT University channels for updates.
