Cebu Technological University (CTU) has made history by becoming the first university in the Philippines to open a high-tech automation laboratory. This state-of-the-art facility will equip students with practical skills in industrial automation, providing them with hands-on experience with the latest technologies used in today’s industries.

The opening of the Automation Training Laboratory is made possible through a partnership with Shoketsu SMC, reflecting CTU's commitment to offering high-quality education that aligns with the evolving demands of modern industries. This new lab will give students the tools they need to excel in fields like automation and robotics, ensuring they are well-prepared for the future workforce.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Joseph C. Pepito, whose visionary leadership and unwavering commitment have been pivotal in making this achievement possible. His dedication continues to inspire a culture of excellence and innovation at CTU. We also recognize Dr. Janice A. Alivio, Dean of the College of Technology, and Dr. Paul K. Zabala, Chairman of the Mechatronics Department, for their invaluable contributions in bringing this project to life.

The Junior Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines- Cebu Student Chapter has received its Certificate of Accreditation from the Student Affairs and Services, dated September 08, 2025.

This recognition signifies the organization’s full compliance with the standards and policies outlined in the 2024 Student Handbook. Through a thorough evaluation process, JMRSP-CSC successfully met all required criteria, reaffirming its eligibility to continue operating as an accredited student organization. With this, the chapter is formally authorized to carry out its mandated functions, responsibilities, and initiatives for A.Y. 2025–2026, in accordance with its Constitution and By-Laws.

This achievement reflects their dedication to organizational excellence, active student engagement, and meaningful contribution to the academic and professional development of their members. It also reinforces their commitment to fostering a culture of leadership, integrity, and service within the university community.
