A nostalgic moment!

I came back to my first college, Salazar Institute of Technology (SIT), but this time, not as a student, but as a speaker, conducting an orientation for all fourth-year BEED and BSED students.

Back in 2011, I was a Bachelor of Elementary Education student at SIT. Life was far from easy, and I was grateful to have the opportunity to pursue college despite the many challenges my family faced. I studied hard and was even recognized as one of the Dean's Listers in the College of Education.

I thought everything was going well, but due to financial difficulties, I had to stop studying. It was one of the toughest seasons of my life. While my batchmates continued pursuing their degrees, I worked as a factory worker to help support my family.

Looking back, I realize that those experiences shaped me into the person I am today. Standing in front of these future educators as a speaker was a full-circle moment that reminded me that no dream is ever lost when you keep moving forward.

I am forever grateful to God and to everyone who became part of my support system. This moment is a testament that with faith, perseverance, and hard work, anything is possible.
