CCNSHS Implements Online and Modular Distance Learning Amid Class Suspensions

Cavite City National Science High School has opted to implement Online Distance Learning (ODL) and Modular Distance Learning (MDL) following consecutive class suspensions caused by heavy rainfall brought by the enhanced southwest monsoon. This measure ensures the continuity of student learning while prioritizing their safety.

In line with DepEd guidelines, the school observes the recommended maximum of four hours of screen time for learners. Teachers have scheduled ODL and MDL sessions accordingly, with those handling MDL distributing activities through class group chats.

Ayon sa latest Weather Advisory ma aapektuhan ang Cavite City ng South West Monsoon na mag dadala ng malakas na pag ulan sa buong lungsod.

Dahil dito suspendido na ang lahat ng klase sa lahat ng antas, pampubliko at pribado, sa buong Lungsod ng Cavite bukas Monday, August 17, 2026.

Muling nasa diskresyon ng mga paaralan ang pagbibigay ng Alternative Delivery Mode para sa ating mga mag aaral upang tuloy tuloy ang kanilang learning sa safety ng kanilang mga tahanan.

Manatiling alerto at siguraduhing ligtas ang buong pamilya. Keep safe everyone!

We are officially registered!

Ang Lumina (Filipino) and The Lumens (English) are officially registered as Cavite City National Science High School's official school publication after obtaining its Unique Official Registration Number (UORN) in compliance with RM No. 444, s. 2026.

This establishes the legitimacy and authenticity of the school paper for future campus journalism activities, division and regional press conferences, and competitions.

Cavite City National Science High School proudly congratulates Ma'am Ma. Carmela L. Salonga, Principal I, and Ma'am Novie Angel A. Encabo, Administrative Officer II, for successfully completing and passing the Level 2 Basic Food Safety Training for Food Handlers during the Division Training on Basic Food Safety and Hygiene under the Food Safety and Hygiene Academy of the Philippines (FoodSHAP) Cum Orientation on the Implementation of the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) for FY 2026 held last May 6, 2026.

Their accomplishment reflects the school's strong commitment to ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are upheld in all school-based programs.

Once again, the entire CavCiSci community extends its warmest congratulations to Ma'am Ella and Ma'am Novie for this noteworthy achievement.

Cavite City National Science High School joins the celebration of Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2026 (Proclamation no. 1041 which declares August 1-31 of every year as the National Language Month) that highlights the important role of the Filipino language as both a cultural foundation and a bridge to modern knowledge.

With the theme "WIKANG FILIPINO at Al: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon", this year's celebration emphasizes how our national language continues to thrive with innovation, making research more meaningful and accessible in the age of artificial intelligence.

The tradition meeting technology shows the harmony between heritage and progress. Just as the Filipino language unites communities, it also connects us to the vast resources of information in today's digital era.

We honor our language while embracing the opportunities of Al, ensuring that Filipino remains a powerful tool for learning, discovery, and nation-building.

The School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA)
held its first General Assembly on July 17 at Cavite City National Science High School (CCNSHS).

The meeting agenda covered preparations for the school's First Founding Anniversary and the presentation of proposed SPTA projects and activities for the current school year.

During the assembly, Homeroom PTA Presidents discussed plans with parents and guardians to keep them informed and engaged in upcoming initiatives.

Cavite City National Science High School conducted its Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Meeting last July 17. The meeting was in line with DepEd Order No. 006, series of 2026, officially titled Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment. Issued by the Department of Education on March 24, 2026, the order consolidates policies on learner rights protection, gate security, and gadget restrictions.

During the meeting, advisers of each section relayed and explained the provisions of the DepEd order to parents and guardians to ensure collective effort in safeguarding every learner.

Through this, the school emphasized that the success of these safety measures depends on the active cooperation of all stakeholders. By working together, CCNSHS aims to foster a secure and supportive learning environment.

Cavite City National Science High School once again extends our thanks to Sir Ricardo "Tingbontay" R. Gonzales, through the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Eugenio B. Doblon, for their unwavering support.

Thanks to their donation, the newly purchased hard hats have arrived and are now ready to serve the needs of every CavCiSian.
