The Universal Declaration begins by recognising that ‘the inherent dignity of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world’.

It declares that human rights are universal – to be enjoyed by all people, no matter who they are or where they live.

The Universal Declaration includes civil and political rights, like the right to life, liberty, free speech and privacy. It also includes economic, social and cultural rights, like the right to social security, health and education.

This is the simplified version of the 30 Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights has been created especially for young people.

Human rights for everyone

The human rights are inherited for all human beings, regardless of the race, gender, nationality, language, ethnicity, religion, ethnicity and status. Everyone is entitled to these rights, without discrimination. It allows people to live with dignity, freedom, equality, justice and peace. It is essential to the full development of individuals and communities.

Human rights are important because it reflect the minimum standards necessary for people to live with dignity. Also it guarantees people the means necessary to satisfy their basic needs, such as food, housing, and education, so they can take full advantage of all opportunities. It protects people against abuse by those who are more powerful.

Human rights is powerful. Don’t let other people destroys your rights. Let’s restore the humanity.
