FEBRUARY 28, 2024- PCPL De Vera discussed to us the process of filling out the booking and information sheet, it is an essential document used by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the process of apprehending and holding suspects. It contains important data regarding the person's identity, the type of offense, and other relevant information required for administrative and legal purposes. The fingerprints of the suspect are also included in this form.
In cases where an individual is arrested or detained, especially if there are allegations of physical harm or injury, obtaining a medicolegal report becomes essential. The process involves Initial Assessment, Referral for Examination, Documentation of Findings, and Issuance of report. The medicolegal report serves as valuable evidence in legal proceedings, helping to establish the extent of any injuries or harm suffered by the individual. It provides impartial medical expertise to support the investigation and prosecution of the case. Moreover, its for the protection of their Human Rights wherein persons in custody have the right to receive adequate medical care. It also for the prevention of health risks that may worsen during detention and for legal liabilities it serves as evidence that appropriate medical assessments were conducted.
In addition, we observed the personnel of the Custodial Facility assisted "Online Hearing" through video call to Persons under PNP Custody (PUPC). This is conducted as an alternative way in providing assistance in attending Court hearings of PUPC's who are detained at Imus City Police Station at Brgy. Malagasang 1-G, Imus, Cavite.

On this day we had the chance to observe in the intelligence section of IMUS CCPS. The intelligence section plays a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence information to ensure national security and maintain public safety. PSSG Romero gave us an overview of the functions of the P*S, particularly focusing on its role in threat assessment, COPLAN (Operational Plan) development, and incident reporting.
The P*S is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of various threats to national security, including but not limited to terrorism, organized crime, insurgency, and cyber threats. Through sophisticated surveillance techniques, informant networks, and data analysis, it identifies potential threats, evaluates their severity and likelihood, and provides actionable intelligence to relevant law enforcement agencies. The P*S collaborates with other PNP units and external agencies to develop COPLANs, strategic operational plans addressing threats and criminal activities, using covert operations, surveillance, and human intelligence. When filling out the IR forms we must get essential information such as the nature of the incident, location, involved parties, modus operandi, and potential suspects. Through its dedicated efforts in intelligence gathering, analysis, and dissemination, the P*S strengthens the capabilities of law enforcement agencies to proactively address emerging threats and respond effectively to security challenges.

Their commitment extends beyond the call of duty, as they selflessly put themselves in harm's way to protect and serve. Upholding the principles of integrity, compassion, and professionalism, police officers work tirelessly to build trust and rapport with the communities they serve, striving to foster positive relationships and ensure that justice is served equitably for all.
The PNP Internal Cleansing Program is a continuous process that takes time to complete. DAY 10

At around 1:30 PM on February 23, 2024 Team 2 from PNP Cadets had the opportunity to observe court proceedings at the Fourth Judicial Region, Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Branch 1, Imus City, Cavite. The session was organized as part of their practical training to gain firsthand experience in legal proceedings and criminal justice operations. The First Case was Violation of PD 1602, Illegal gambling (Tong-its). The court proceedings were conducted in coordination with the IMUS City Municipal Trial Court, reflecting a collaborative effort between law enforcement agencies and the judiciary. All four violators pleaded guilty to the charges brought against them. Their admission of guilt streamlined the legal process and allowed for expedited resolution of the case. The second case is Reckless imprudence resulting in serious physical injury. The case proceeded to the pre-trial phase, indicating the initial stages of the legal process. Unlike the first case, which involved a clear admission of guilt, the second case presented a more complex scenario requiring further legal proceedings. The nature of the charges suggests the need for thorough investigation and examination of evidence before reaching a resolution. From arraignment to pre-trial proceedings, the experience enhanced their understanding of the legal process and its significance in upholding justice within the community.
