Teacher Minette God's servant. Music Graduate. Music Therapist. Voice Major. Licensed Professional Teacher. (Mama said I refused to study piano when I was little).

It was summer of 2002 when my parents enrolled me and my sisters in music lessons. I enjoyed those taking up summer music lessons because that served as a bonding time with my sisters and at the same time, I was able to witness hw supportive my parents were. I was shy because my 2 older sisters have a background in playing piano because may grandmother was a piano teacher in Cavite City. Fast for

ward to this day, I find it amazing how God continuously working on with my dreams. Everything started with summer music lessons, did not plan of taking up Music as a course, taught voice and keyboard lessons to different music studios (from Cavite to Ortigas!), changed career path to pursue a dream -- to teach and share God's music to many. Not just to bless them but also that they may bless other people too with the gift of music. My dream is not just to teach music but also:
1. to help students boost their self-confidence (I struggled with this for very LONG time and I am teaching my students how to overcome this);
2. to teach the basic music theory (not just singing or learning any musical instrument);
3. to give back the glory to the One who is the Composer of our dreams, our GOD ALMIGHTY. :)

Kuya Alden and I were talking about his piano journey with Whole Note, and I couldn't help but feel a little emotional.

As his teacher, I've had the privilege of witnessing his growth—from struggling to identify letter names and note values to truly understanding the music he plays and the pieces he performs.

Watching his progress has been such a rewarding experience.

As we remember my Papa’s 10th death anniversary and celebrate the 7th year of Whole Note by Sto. Tomas, I am filled with gratitude and quiet awe.

This year, our celebration comes close to the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus—a reminder of God's boundless love, compassion, and healing presence in our lives.

For the past years, I’ve been praying, working, and simply trusting God—even when I didn’t fully understand where He was leading me. Looking back, I now see that He has been gently preparing both me and Whole Note for something greater, something I never imagined at the beginning.
Today, with a grateful heart, I am happy to share that we are officially launching the Music Therapy Program at Whole Note by Sto. Tomas.

We continue to embrace music as a gift from God—one that not only educates, but also heals, inspires, and transforms. Inspired by the loving Heart of Jesus, we hope to use music as an instrument of compassion and service, nurturing individuals who will become ambassadors of love, hope, and healing for others.

Whole Note by Sto. Tomas now offers both Music Education and Music Therapy. 🥹🤍🎶
