The Science Department successfully conducted a Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session with the theme “Teacher Empowerment through Evidence-Based Classroom Observation: PMES 2025–2026 Framework.”
The session was facilitated by Ms. Genevil Baylosis, Master Teacher, and Ms. Maureen S. Angat, Head Teacher, who shared meaningful insights and practical strategies aligned with the revised PMES indicators. The activity aimed to equip teachers with a deeper understanding of the new observation framework, promoting reflective practice and continuous professional growth.
Science teachers actively participated in the collaborative discussion—sharing best practices, clarifying queries, and exploring effective instructional approaches to ensure quality teaching and learning. The session also fostered teamwork and professional dialogue, reinforcing the department’s commitment to excellence and evidence-based teaching.

East Crowns Mr. and Ms. Earth Warriors 2025
The Science Department, led by Ms. Maureen Angat and Ms. Genevil Baylosis, conducted its culminating activity for Science Month on Friday, October 10.
A segment of the activity was the search for environmental advocates through the Earth Warriors 2025 pageant.
Sixteen candidates vied for the crown. Jaimee Barrientos and Kian Demalata were crowned Mr. and Ms. Earth Warriors 2025.

Science Department Conducts LAC Session, Presents Intervention Activities
Science teachers convened for a Learning
Action Cell (LAC) session to discuss the intervention program "Project Task" and present contextualized activities for struggling learners.
Department Heads, Ms. Genevil Baylosis and Ms. Maureen Angat, provided feedback and recommendations on the crafted activity sheets.
Furthermore, the department will secure parental consent for the learners who will undergo the intervention program.

Eastudents Defend Research Proposals, Showcase Innovations at STEMazing Competition
In celebration of Science Month, five groups of young researchers presented their research proposals during the STEMazing competition.
Students defended their proposals before a panel of judges, which included Research Coordinator Ms. Jocelyn Perdito, Science Master Teacher I Genevil Baylosis, and Science Teacher Bernie T. Buhay. The competition highlighted critical thinking skills in addressing real-world problems through scientific inquiry.
Moreover, suggestions and recommendations were given to the students for their proposals improvements.
