A strong school begins with clear policies and a shared commitment to every learner's well-being.

On July 3, 2026, the Bagbag National High School Child Protection Committee (CPC) gathered with school leaders and stakeholders for the Student Handbook Review, Enhancement, and Synchronization Meeting. The activity provided an opportunity to revisit and improve the school's handbook, ensuring that it remains relevant, learner-centered, and aligned with DepEd policies and child protection standards.

Through open discussions and collaboration, participants shared valuable insights and recommendations to further strengthen the handbook—promoting a school environment where discipline is balanced with fairness, respect, accountability, and compassion.

🇵🇭 Monday Flag Raising Ceremony | Bagbag National High School

A new week began with pride and purpose as Bagbag National High School held its Monday Flag Raising Ceremony, spearheaded by the YES-O Officers under the leadership of School Principal Mr. Norman C. Barroso, with the support of the SSLG Adviser, SSLG Officers, Club Officers, and faculty members.

The ceremony brought together our Grade 10 students and teachers in honoring the Philippine flag and reaffirming the values of patriotism, discipline, and unity. More than a weekly tradition, the Flag Raising Ceremony serves as a reminder that every Bagbagian has a role in building a respectful, responsible, and learner-centered school community.

BAGBAG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL CELEBRATES NUTRITION MONTH 2026

Bagbag National High School proudly celebrates Nutrition Month 2026 with this year's theme, "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!" The celebration reminds us that good nutrition and environmental responsibility go hand in hand in building healthier communities.

The celebration is spearheaded by our School Principal II, Sir Norman C. Barroso, and our TLE Department Head, Mrs. Elizabeth U. Mendoza, together with the TLE teachers. Throughout July, a series of Nutrition Month activities—including the Feeding Program, Poster Contest, Nutri Quiz Bee, and Nutri Jingle Contest—highlights the importance of proper nutrition while encouraging learners to showcase their knowledge, creativity, and talents.

We are pleased to share the successful conduct of our initial Nutrition Month activities:

🍽️ Feeding Program (July 6, 2026)
A special feeding program was conducted for selected Grade 7 students, providing nutritious meals to support their health and well-being.

🎨 Poster Contest (July 7, 2026)
Fifty-two students from Grades 7 to 10 showcased their creativity and artistic talents by illustrating the importance of proper nutrition and environmental care through meaningful artworks.

Learning Continues at Bagbag National High School

In response to the suspension of face-to-face classes due to heavy rains, Bagbag National High School immediately shifted to the HINAY Phase of the Education in Emergencies (EiE) framework in accordance with DepEd Order No. 14, s. 2026.

Despite the cancellation of classes, learning continued through the implementation of Structured Distance Education. Teachers promptly sent Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) aligned with the prescribed learning competencies, ensuring that students were able to continue their learning safely in their homes.

This initiative reflects the school's unwavering commitment to providing continuous, inclusive, and quality education even during emergencies and unforeseen disruptions. Through the dedication of our teachers, the support of parents and guardians, and the cooperation of our learners, Bagbag National High School remains steadfast in ensuring that education continues regardless of the circumstances.

DIVISION MONITORING TEAM VISITS BAGBAG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
July 9, 2026

Bagbag National High School warmly welcomed the Division Monitoring Team on *July 9, 2026, led by Dr. Elpidia B. Bergado, CID Chief, together with Dr. Edlyn B. Matreo and Mr. Domingo R. Cueto, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS).

The monitoring activity focused on the School Synchronization Program, one of the key initiatives of the Schools Division Office aimed at ensuring the effective alignment and implementation of educational programs and school processes.

Beyond the monitoring, the Division Team provided valuable Technical Assistance to the school in the areas of:

🏫 School Improvement Plan (SIP)

🇵🇭 Honoring Our Flag. Remembering Our History.

As part of our regular Monday Flag Raising Ceremony, Bagbag National High School proudly participated in the Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony in commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the 2016 South China Sea Arbitral Award, in accordance with the Department of Education Memorandum.

Led by School Head Mr. Norman C. Barroso, together with the SSLG Adviser and Officers and Club Officers, the program was attended by our Grade 9 & 10 learners and faculty members. A short commemorative video and the reading of the official message highlighted the significance of the landmark ruling and reaffirmed the importance of patriotism, national unity, and respect for international law.

Together, we honor our flag, uphold our shared history, and inspire every learner to become a responsible and patriotic Filipino.
