Faith and Partnership: A Visit to Ladislao Diwa Elementary School
Today, Ladislao Diwa Elementary School opened its doors to representatives from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who came to look closely at the needs of the Special Needs Education (SNED) program and the Schools Division Office (SDO) Library Hub. What might have seemed like a routine assessment carried a deeper meaning: it was a gesture of care, a reminder that education thrives when communities come together to support learners of every background and ability.
Accompanied by Schools Division Superintendent Gregorio Co, Jr. and School Principal Marita Anson, the stakeholders walked through the school’s facilities with a shared purpose — to understand, to listen, and to help. Their presence symbolized more than oversight; it reflected a partnership rooted in compassion and responsibility.

LDES Conducts General Parents’ Orientation for SY 2026–2027
Ladislao Diwa Elementary School (LDES) successfully conducted its General Parents’ Orientation on June 9–10, 2026, as part of its preparations for the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027. The two-day orientation gathered parents, guardians, and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration between the school and the community in ensuring learners’ holistic development and academic success.
During the program, faculty members were formally introduced per grade level, fostering familiarity and stronger parent-teacher connections. School officials also presented the Three-Term School Calendar, providing clarity on the academic structure and schedule for the year. In addition, the Grading System was explained to promote transparency and accountability in student performance assessments. The orientation further emphasized the school’s commitment to student welfare through discussions on the Anti-Bullying Policy and the Guidelines on the Use of Electronic Devices, ensuring responsible and balanced use of technology among learners.
The orientation emphasized the vital role of parental involvement in supporting learners’ holistic growth, highlighting the importance of open communication and shared responsibility between the school and families. The school reaffirms its position as a model of preparedness and partnership, setting the tone for a productive and inclusive academic year in SY 2026–2027.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!
𝗦𝗗𝗦 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗔. 𝗖𝗼, 𝗝𝗿., accompanied by our School Principal, 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗔. 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻, conducted a monitoring visit to the school's facilities in preparation for the establishment of the Inclusive Learning Resource Center (ILRC).
This initiative is mandated under Republic Act No. 11650 and aims to promote quality and inclusive education for Learners with Disabilities (LWDs) through the support of the Local Government of Cavite City.
During the visit, SDS Co also engaged in a dialogue with our Special Needs Education (SNED) teachers to identify the assistive devices and resources needed to better support the diverse learning needs of our learners.

Monitoring of the Opening of Classes, SY 2026–2027
Ladislao Diwa Elementary School – Cavite City
SDO Cavite City formally commenced the Monitoring of the Opening of Classes for School Year 2026–2027, in line with the Department of Education’s readiness framework. The activity was conducted to ensure that all governance, instructional, safety, and learner-support indicators were observed and documented prior to the full resumption of classes.
Representatives from the Schools Division Office (SDO) Cavite City joined the activity to provide technical assistance, namely Dr. Yolanda S. Oliver, Education Program Supervisor in EPP/TLE, and Jan Michael N. Dolorfino, Nurse II.
The monitoring tool covered eight major domains, including Governance and Administrative Readiness, which ensures alignment of school plans with the three-term calendar and dissemination of opening block activities; Curriculum and Instructional Readiness, which involves unpacking competencies, contextualizing curriculum maps, and integrating learning recovery activities; and Teacher Readiness, which focuses on rationalized workload, classroom management systems, and availability of instructional kits. The checklist also reviewed Learner Support and Continuity, covering BOSY assessments, attendance monitoring, psychosocial support, and distribution of learner materials; Facilities and Safety Readiness, which ensures classroom safety, utilities, fire extinguishers, and secured perimeter; and DRRM and Emergency Preparedness, which includes contingency plans, emergency signages, early warning systems, and supplies. Finally, Community and Stakeholder Engagement was highlighted through Brigada Eskwela, partnerships, and communication channels.
LDES underscores its full commitment to academic preparedness for School Year 2026–2027. Through the strong leadership of our School Principal, Mrs. Marita A. Anson, the collaborative oversight of the Schools Division Office of Cavite City, and the comprehensive review of readiness indicators, the institution affirms its dedication to delivering quality education, safeguarding learner welfare, and fostering meaningful community engagement.

First Day High! Opening of Classes Marks a Fresh Start
The school officially marked the opening of classes with a flag ceremony attended by students, faculty, and staff. Marita A. Anson, Principal IV, delivered a warm welcome message, encouraging learners to embrace the new academic year with dedication and enthusiasm.
The event was further highlighted by the presence of the Philippine National Police Cavite City, who joined the ceremony to discuss important matters concerning student safety and community security. Their participation underscored the strong collaboration between the school and local authorities in ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
The ceremony set a positive tone for the year ahead, reflecting the shared commitment of educators, students, and partners in building a culture of discipline, responsibility, and excellence.

Taos-puso rin ang aming pasasalamat sa Philippine Coast Guard – Maritime Safety Service Command, sa pangunguna ni Vice Admiral Genito Basilio, sa kanilang masigasig na paglilinis ng kapaligiran ng paaralan at pagputol ng mga punong nangangailangan ng pagsasaayos upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng ating mga mag-aaral at kawani.
