You down with ZPD? Yeah, you know me!

Okay, but what exactly is ZPD. ZPD is the Zone of Proximal Development. It is space where a child is able to do without assistance and what they cannot do.

Think about it in terms of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. 🐻

🥣 Known - able to complete without assistance
🥣 Just right - ZPD where the child benefits from assistance from adults or peers in the learning process
🥣 Unknown - unable to do the task

In order to provide individual care, we have to meet each child where they are!

Using this framework to set up our intervention approach helps with that.
