OLPC-C shares blessing in annual Christmas party
With the goal to give joy and to spread love through simple games and relief goods, officers of the Outreach club, Supreme Student Government (SSG), English club, and Christian Formation Program (CFP) conducted the annual Christmas program at Sinippil elementary school, the adopted barangay of Our Lady of the Pillar College-Cauayan, Inc. Junior High School department (OLPC-C), December 17.
Althea Gaffud, one of the officers shared her reflection after the meaningful event. "Stepping into Sinippil felt like stepping into a community woven with resilience, warmth, and endless hope. As we arrived bringing supplies, stories, and open hearts, we were immediately greeted by smiling faces, children running to meet us, and families opening their heart for us. We sat with families who told us about the challenges they are facing. We heard from young students what they are dreaming when they grow up. And we heard how their parents raising their kids in a place where neighbors are like family, where help is never more than a shout away. Sinippil may be a small place on the map, but it's spirit is enormous. As we packed up, we left with full hearts, new friendships, and a promise to return. Because outreach isnโt a one time visit itโs the start of a journey, a commitment to standing with communities as they build the future they deserve. To everyone who joined us, donated, or sent their support thank you for making this possible. This is what community looks likewhen we show up, listen, and lift each other up."
Once again, this event showcased how teen PillariCANs join together for a good cause. We also thank the parents and guardians for their generosity and extended their help in order for the event to be a success.
