𝘠𝘦𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯, 𝘗𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘵𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘧𝘪𝘴𝘩.

Sometimes, we also experience moments when our efforts seem useless and our prayers seem unanswered. We may feel tired, disappointed, or uncertain about what lies ahead. But this Gospel teaches us that 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒆 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝑮𝒐𝒅. Jesus may be asking us to try again, to step outside our comfort zone, or to follow a path we do not yet understand.

Peter left everything and followed Jesus. His response teaches us that answering God's call requires 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉, 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝒈𝒐. We may not know where the journey will lead, but we can trust the One who calls us.

Sometimes God does not immediately change our situation. Instead, He changes our direction. When we feel that our nets are empty, let us continue to trust, obey, and have faith. What seems like an ordinary moment may be the beginning of God's greater purpose for our lives.

𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

In a unified effort to foster a safer campus environment and promote civic responsibility, the 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 at 𝙄𝙨𝙖𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙖 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙨 & 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮, 𝙄𝙣𝙘. (𝙄𝘾𝘼𝙏) successfully held its 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 program on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

Carrying the theme “𝙏𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝘼𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙚: 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨. 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.”, the event gathered students, faculty, and administrators to emphasize the critical role of community involvement in maintaining public safety and order.

The event opened with an address by 𝙋𝙇𝙏𝘾𝙊𝙇 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙤 𝙁𝙖𝙟𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙤 (𝙍𝙚𝙩.), ICAT Discipline, Safety, and Security Officer, who highlighted the foundational role of personal discipline and vigilance within the academic community.

𝘿𝙧. 𝙉𝙤𝙫𝙮 𝙋. 𝘿𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙤, 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝘼𝙛𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙨, followed with a Message of Expectation, encouraging criminologists-in-training to lead by example and integrate crime prevention principles into their daily academic and personal lives.

Reaffirming the institution's commitment to campus security, 𝙄𝘾𝘼𝙏 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙢 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝘿𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙤-𝘽𝙤𝙧𝙟𝙖 delivered a Message of Commitment and Support, pledging continuous institutional backing for safety initiatives and student-led community outreach while reminding the institution to pray and trust in God for guidance and protection in all safety efforts.

The program also featured insights from guest lecturer 𝙋𝙇𝙏 𝙅𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙖 𝘼. 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙨, who provided specialized instruction and practical strategies on community-based crime prevention and law enforcement collaboration.

The 𝙄𝙨𝙖𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙖 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙨 & 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮, 𝙄𝙣𝙘. – 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 invites all Criminology students to attend the 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 with the theme: “𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞: 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.”

Sometimes life becomes too heavy. We get tired from our problems, responsibilities, disappointments, and the things we keep inside. There are moments when we don't know what to do anymore.

Jesus reminds us that we don't have to carry everything alone. When you are tired, worried, or struggling, you can come to Him. Tell Him what is hurting you. Give Him your worries through prayer and allow Him to give your heart peace.

Your problems may not disappear immediately, but you don't have to face them with a heavy heart. God is there to give you strength and rest.

When life feels too heavy, give your worries to God. You don't have to carry them alone.
