Today, we join the world in celebrating 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 — a reminder that compassion, service, and humanity continue to connect people beyond borders, cultures, and differences.

As UPHS College - Red Cross Youth, we celebrate compassion, courage, and humanity as we honor World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.

On World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, we celebrate the power of humanity in action. Every act of kindness brings hope to those in need. They are not separate from the communities they serve; they are part of them. Because beyond every emergency, every response, and every emblem, there is one truth: we are united in humanity.

𝘋𝘖𝘕’𝘛 𝘓𝘌𝘛 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘏𝘌𝘈𝘛 𝘉𝘌𝘈𝘛 𝘠𝘖𝘜: 𝘜𝘕𝘋𝘌𝘙𝘚𝘛𝘈𝘕𝘋 𝘏𝘌𝘈𝘛-𝘙𝘌𝘓𝘈𝘛𝘌𝘋 𝘌𝘔𝘌𝘙𝘎𝘌𝘕𝘊𝘐𝘌𝘚

The heat is more than just an inconvenience—it can be a medical emergency.

When our bodies are exposed to extreme temperatures for too long, our natural cooling systems can fail. This leads to heat exhaustion or, more severely, heat stroke. Knowing who is at risk and how to react can save a life.

𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘵 𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘬?

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘺 – Their bodies may not adjust to temperature changes as quickly.
𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯 – They heat up faster than adults.
𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘵 & 𝘓𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 – Hydration is critical for both mom and baby.
𝘖𝘶𝘵𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴 – Constant exposure requires frequent breaks and shade.
𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘗𝘳𝘦-𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 – Chronic illnesses can make heat regulation harder.

Let’s look out for one another. Stay hydrated, stay in the shade, and check on your neighbors!

Look || Last February 10-14, 2026 During the University Week of University of Perpetual Help System Isabela Campus, the UPHS College Red Cross Youth officers, members, volunteers along with their advisers proudly rendered rescue and first aid services throughout the celebration. ⛑️

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Rescue Cauayan for their invaluable assistance and support.

We thank all volunteers for your hard work and compassion. Your service truly made a difference and meant so much to everyone you handled. ♥️
