TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN — August 25, 2026 — The University of Perpetual Help System Cauayan (UPHSC) took an active role in the ASEAN Philippines 2026 Celebration, organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region II in collaboration with Cagayan State University, held at Lujo Bar and Restaurant, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. Representing UPHSC were Dean Jessel R. Sangdaan, Dean of the College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Dr. Rhean Joy B. Acupido, Assistant School Director and Internationalization Focal Person. The event brought together members of the academic community to celebrate ASEAN identity, cultural diversity, and regional cooperation, with UPHSC proudly contributing to the showcase of local culture and Filipino hospitality.

The celebration highlighted the importance of preserving local heritage while building global connections, reflecting UPHSC’s commitment to internationalization and cultural engagement. Through its participation, the university demonstrated how local traditions, hospitality, and identity can become powerful expressions on an international stage. More than a celebration, ASEAN Philippines 2026 served as a meaningful platform for cultural exchange, collaboration, and strengthening ties among higher education institutions. For UPHSC, the event reaffirmed its commitment to developing globally competent individuals who remain deeply rooted in their culture and values—proving that “The Best You Starts Here.”

The College of Nursing and Midwifery takes another proactive step toward advancing quality education with the arrival of 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗘® 𝗦𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟬, its newest advanced mid-fidelity patient simulator. More than a technological addition, 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗘® brings learning to life by creating immersive, hands-on clinical experiences that bridge the gap between the classroom and real-world practice. Through realistic simulations, students can strengthen critical thinking, clinical judgment, psychomotor skills, communication, and patient-care competencies in a safe and engaging learning environment.

This innovative learning experience reflects the College’s commitment to being proactive in preparing future nurses and midwives for the evolving demands of healthcare. By providing opportunities to learn by doing, practice decision-making, respond to clinical challenges, and build confidence before encountering actual patients, the College continues to foster competent, compassionate, and future-ready healthcare professionals.

Heads up Perpetualites!

Representatives of the University of Perpetual Help System–Cauayan Campus, particularly the College of International Hospitality and tourism Management, conducted an ocular visit and partnership orientation with Rockwoods Agritourism Park & Peace Sanctuary on August 15–16, 2026, at Purok 7, Brgy. Beti, Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya. The activity, led by Rockwoods Owner/Training Director Ms. Marie Curie O. De Pona, included an inspection of the park’s facilities, learning stations, demonstration farms, and other areas that may support student immersion, internships, experiential learning, and academic-industry activities.

Highlighting the engagement was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), formalizing the partnership between UPHS–Cauayan Campus and Rockwoods Agritourism Park & Peace Sanctuary. The collaboration aims to explore Rockwoods as a potential Industry Learning Site and advance opportunities under the TESDA Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) framework, while opening avenues for student immersion, research, extension, innovation, entrepreneurship, and community development. The partnership reflects both institutions’ commitment to transforming industry collaboration into meaningful learning experiences and future opportunities for students.

CAUAYAN CAMPUS — July 17–19, 2026 — The University of Perpetual Help System–Cauayan continues to strengthen its commitment to student development as Jolina A. Edra and Neriza P. Bustamante of the Basic Education Department participated in the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Basic Training Course (BTC) held at Hacienda de San Luis, Cauayan City, Isabela.

Through the training, our educators enhanced their leadership, teamwork, and Scouting skills, preparing them to guide learners and foster the values of discipline, service, teamwork, and leadership.

With every lesson learned and every skill gained, we move closer to shaping responsible, capable, and future-ready young leaders.
