SANHS - Barkada Kontra Bisyo

Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB) spearheaded a review and discussion of our School Policy on Prohibited Vices, emphasizing the importance of guiding our learners away from unhealthy practices within the school premises.

This awareness drive, held during the School Parents -Teachers Association (PTA) Meeting, highlighted the role of parents and stakeholders in ensuring the success of our learners by maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment.

The session was initiated and led by the BKB Organization as part of the agenda presented to parents.

Pormal na ipinroklama ngayong Setyembre 2, 2025 ang Barkada Kontra Bisyo kasabay ng makabuluhang paggunita ng Buwan ng Wika. Layunin nitong paigtingin ang kamalayan ng mga kabataan laban sa bisyo at isulong ang kulturang makabayan at responsable.

With the spirit of the eagle strong, focused, and united—San Antonio National High School officially launches Intramurals 2025. Students proudly rally under their banners—𝘼𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙠𝙞, 𝘼𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙠𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞 as they take part in friendly competitions and showcase their talents. More than just winning, this event is about teamwork, school pride, and lifting each other up. As one community, we ascend.

San Antonio National High School proudly secured the Second Runner-Up title in the Mayor Jaycee Dy Inter-School First Aid Olympics held on July 30–31, 2025, in celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month with the theme “KUMILOS: Kayang Umaksyon ng Mamamayan na Isabuhay ang Kahandaan ng bawat Isa para maging Ligtas sa Oras ng Sakuna para sa Kahandaan, Kaligtasan at Katatagan.”

The competition brought together 20 participating schools, both public and private. This marks San Antonio NHS’s first time joining the prestigious event—and they impressively landed on the podium.

Representing the school with skill and dedication were Student Responders/First Aiders: Janile Aban, Zyrhealle Joy Lacar, Gio Perido, Jann Brien Ligad, Jayhunt Corpuz, John Carlo Estabillo, and Joe Ann Purugganan, guided by their committed coaches Sir June Sabolboro and Ma’am Cammille Joyce.

This remarkable achievement highlights the school’s commitment to disaster preparedness, first aid competency, and resilience-building among its students.

Cauayan City, Isabela — Members of Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB) and other student leaders from San Antonio National High School (SANHS) actively participated in the Youth Summit 2025 held on July 23, 2025 at the Isabela Convention Center, San Fermin, Cauayan City.

The summit was organized by the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) headed by 𝘼𝙩𝙩𝙮. 𝘿𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙖 𝙅𝙤𝙮 𝙑𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖-𝙂𝙤𝙣𝙯𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨, in collaboration with the National Youth Commission (NYC).

During the event, SK Federation President 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙤 𝙏. 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙙 encouraged the youth to actively participate in the various youth development programs of the City, empowering them to make their voices heard.

City Mayor 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝘾𝙖𝙚𝙨𝙖𝙧 𝙅𝙖𝙮𝙘𝙚𝙚 𝙎. 𝘿𝙮 𝙅𝙧. also delivered a message, emphasizing the importance of empowering young leaders and supporting their community-based initiatives. The summit forms part of the city’s ongoing commitment to youth development and participation in governance.

Officers of the Kabarkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB) were spotted actively loading seedlings into a vehicle earlier today as part of their continuous involvement in environmental and community initiatives.

The first set of dance auditions for the Sanghaya Kawayan Performing Arts kicked off today, with active participation from Grades 7 and 8. Students confidently showed their moves as they took the first step toward becoming part of the school’s performing arts group. Auditions will continue in the coming days — all interested students are encouraged to join and be part of this exciting opportunity to perform in future school and community events.

Look: San Antonio National High School implements the Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB) Bantay Gate every Wednesday to assist learners upon arrival, maintain order at the school entrance, and ensure cleanliness outside the school. The activity is part of the school’s regular safety and cleanliness efforts, with BKB officers stationed at the gate to monitor and guide students as they enter the campus.
