Any of the following topics are accepted for the oral presentation

Guidelines for the Submission of Abstract
1. The Abstract must not be more than 250 words and must be submitted to [email protected] on or before May 20, 2025. Notification of Acceptance will be issued on May 20, 2025 or earlier.
2. It should contain the following:
a. Title of the Study
b. Author/s
c. Name of the Department
d. The name of the presenter should be underlined.
e. It must include 3-5 keywords

NOTE:
- The abstract must follow the following format:
a. FONTSTYLE = Times New Roman
b. FONT SIZE = 12
c. SPACING = Single Space
d. PAPER SIZE = 8.5”X11” (short)
e. FILE TYPE = MS Word Document
3. Papers that are accepted must submit their complete manuscript to

4. Researchers will be given 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for the question-and-answer portion.

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 | 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 28, 2025, The Philippine Criminological and Social Research Association Inc., in collaboration with the Johanna Research and Training Center, held an International Seminar on Qualitative Data Analysis and Data Presentation at Aspulan Hall, ATI Building, BSU Compound, La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines.
Faculty members from the Basic Education Department and the College of Arts and Education attended the seminar, along with Dr. Rhean Joy B. Acupido, LPT, the Research Director of the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna – Isabela Campus.

Participants gained valuable insights in developing data coding, analysis, interpretation, and reporting skills on qualitative methods. The University Research Office at the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna – Isabela Campus would like to express its gratitude to Dr. Safary Wa-Mbaleka, the resource speaker during the seminar, for providing an informative workshop that particularly benefitted faculty members and all the participants in research methodology.

On January 18, 2025, The University Research Office of University of Perpetual Help System Laguna - Isabela Campus is conducting a research capability seminar entitled 𝙐𝙎𝘼𝘿 𝙋𝙀𝙍𝙋𝙎 𝙑𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 5.0 with the theme “𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝓇𝑜𝓁𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝒜𝓇𝓉𝒾𝒻𝒾𝒸𝒾𝒶𝓁 𝐼𝓃𝓉𝑒𝓁𝓁𝒾𝑔𝑒𝓃𝒸𝑒 𝒾𝓃 𝑅𝑒𝓈𝑒𝒶𝓇𝒸𝒽 𝒲𝓇𝒾𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝐼𝓉𝓈 𝐸𝓉𝒽𝒾𝒸𝒶𝓁 𝒞𝑜𝓃𝓈𝒾𝒹𝑒𝓇𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈 with the Resource Speaker, Dr. Las Johansen Balios Caluza, Professor 6 of Applied Sciences Department, Leyte Normal University, Philippines.

The participants of this ongoing seminar are the teaching and non-teaching personnel of University of Perpetual Help System Laguna - Isabela Campus, along with the deans and heads of the different departments through face to face and zoom meeting.

On September 4, 2024, the University Research Office of the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna - Isabela Campus conducted a Comprehensive Research Orientation spearheaded by the Research Director - Ms. Rhean Joy B. Acupido, along with the various Research assistants.

The orientation was attended by the School Director - Dr. Warren L. Calilung, Deans and other Academic Heads, faculty, and staff of the university. The activity aimed to equip participants with essential tools and knowledge about the different policies and activities of the University Research Office for the current academic year.

Furthermore, the research office recognized the efforts and dedication of faculty and staffs who shared their time and expertise in achieving the university research agenda last SY 2023 - 2024. They received certificates signed by the University Research Director and the School Director.

Interactive components including Q&A sessions allowed participants to directly address specific querries or concerns. After the orientation, participants had a clearer understanding of the research landscape.

𝘼𝙪𝙜𝙪𝙨𝙩 21 is Ninoy Aquino Day, a national holiday in the Philippines that honors former senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino, Jr. It is intended to be a non-working holiday.
Nonetheless, this year's holiday was shifted to Friday, August 23, by President Bongbong Marcos.

𝕎𝕚𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕒𝕔𝕒𝕕𝕖𝕞𝕚𝕔 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕, 𝕨𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨𝕝𝕖𝕕𝕘𝕖 𝕚𝕤 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕦𝕝𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕒𝕥𝕖 𝕘𝕠𝕒𝕝, on May 20, 2024, was a momentous occasion: the Research Congress student edition, an assembly of intellectuals committed to furthering scholarly research, took place. Ma'am Rhean, the distinguished Research Director, was in charge of this distinguished occasion. Her vision and guidance created the ideal environment for thought-provoking investigation and learning.

Excitement was in the air as the conference hall doors opened, drawing in a steady stream of enthusiastic attendees and renowned panelists. Among them were Dr. Roldan Cardona, Ma'am Jasmine, and Dr. Olive Joy Andaya. Collectively, they constituted an impressive panel, with each member contributing an abundance of knowledge and perspective.

With Ma'am Rhean keeping a close eye on things, the proceedings got underway quickly as participants from different departments and categories mounted the stage to share their research findings. They presented the results of their labor with fervor and accuracy, providing a window into the boundaries of knowledge in a multitude of disciplines.

Ma’am Jasmine, Dr. Olive, and Dr. Ronald listened carefully as the speeches went on, their sharp minds ready to provide advice and criticism to the budding scholars. They fostered an atmosphere of cooperation and friendship by providing a healthy dose of both positive and constructive criticism, pushing participants to strive for academic success.

Each category stood out from the throng among the flurry of presentations; they were the winners of the prestigious awards for Best Research Paper and Best Research Presenter. They proudly smiled as they accepted their awards, their hearts full of pride, and their accomplishments were a monument to the transformational power of invention and research.

Ma'am Rhean returned to the platform as the congress came to an end, her voice resonant with warmth and appreciation. She praised the attendees for their commitment and enthusiasm and expressed her gratitude to Dr. Warren, Ma'am Jasmine, Dr. Ronald, and Dr. Olive for their vital support of the program.

The spirit of the Research Congress—a light of inspiration and education in a world that is constantly changing—was carried with the attendees as they scattered into the night, their minds racing with fresh concepts and realizations. And because they knew they were a part of something more than themselves—a community bound by a common dedication to the search for knowledge and truth—they set out on their individual journeys with a fresh sense of purpose.
