● In today's lesson
I would like to discuss about AGE (살).
A lot of learners in korean ,confused on how the use age to ask questions about someone's age.
Because there are several ways in asking age to the person whom you are talking.

Here how's it goes.
● WHEN YOU ARE TALKING TO SOMEONE SAME AS YOUR AGE OR YOUNGER THAN YOU.
YOU SHOULD USED...몇 살?
몇 살...is use to ask age of younger than you are talking with or same age as you.

● Here as it goes:

모니카 씨 몇 살입니까?
How old are you Miss Monica?
Or you can say as this:
모니카 씨 몇 살이예요?
How old are you?

That's how you ask age to a younger ones.

● How about if you ask a middle age person?
Or a bit older people.
You can used 나이.
나이..as to ask age for a but older one.
Like uncle or auntie.

● Here's how you can use:
아주마는 니이가 어떻게 되세요?
How old are you, auntie?
When a younger one ask his dad about his age.
He can say:
아버지는 나이가 어떻게 되세요?
How old are Daddy?

● Now,
How about when you ask grandma or grandpa's age?
In honor to the older people.
We can use 연세..as AGE.

● Here's how you can also use:
할아버지는 연세가 어떻게 되세요?
How old is grandpa?
예순 살이녜요.
He is 60 years old.

할머니는 연세가 어떻게 되세요?
How old is grandma?
일흔 살이예요.
She is 70 years old.

☆Those are the different ways to tell someone's age.

CONNECTING SENTENCES.

May dalawang uri ng pagdugtong ng pangungusap.
Ang isa ay Ang paggamit ng conjunctive adverbs.
Halimbawa:
그래서.....Ang ibig sabihin ay..SO/THEREFORE.

그렇지만...Ang ibig sabihin ay...BUT

그리고....At Ang huli ay ang ibig sabihin into ay...AND.

Let's try to use them in a sentence.
1. 그래서...SO / THERFORE.
Let's try the CONJUNCTIVE ADVERB CONNECTION, first.

비가 와요. 그래서 길이 많이 막혀요.
It is raining, SO the street is heavy traffic.

Here is the CONJUNCTIVE ENDING CONNECTION.

비가 와서 길이 많이 막혀요.
It is raining. SO the street is heavy traffic.

2. Let's try this another connecting word.
그렇지만....which means BUT.
Let's do the CONJUNCTIVA ADVERB CONNECTION, fist again.

라면는 매워요.그랗지만 너무 맛있어요.
Ramyeon is spicy. BUT it so delicious.

Let's try to do it in CONJUCTIVE ENDING CONNECTION.
라면는 맵지만 너무 맛있어요.
Ramyeon is spicy. BUT it so delicious.

The last connecting word that were try to connect is:
그리고...which means AND.

Now,
Let's try to use it in a sentence using CONJUCTIVE ADVERB CONNECTION.
날씨는 더워요, 그리고 물을 많이 마셔요.
The weather is hot. AND I drink a lot of water.

Now let's try to use the sentence in CONJUNCTIVE ENDING CONNECTION.

날씨는 덥고 물을 많이 마셔요.
The weather is hot. AND I drink a lot of water.

So as you can see in the following tenses.
You observe the difference of the two sentences.
But in the same meaning.

Note:
Kapag nagdudugtong ng dalawang pangungusap sa CONJUNCTIVE ADVERB,
ay ilagay Laman sa pagan ng dalawang pangungusap ang CONNECTING WORD.
Samantala sa CONJUNCTIVE ENDING naman ay ay idudugtong lang ang ending ng Connecting word to the VERB STEM para idugtong ang is a pang pangungusap.
