Catigbian National High School joyfully and successfully carried out its Christmas donation drive, “Bundle of Joy,” where 54 selected learners were blessed to receive gifts filled with love and care. More than the items inside each bundle, this initiative served as a gentle reminder that the true meaning of Christmas is found in compassion, kindness, and sharing hope with one another.

Through this simple yet meaningful act, smiles were shared, hearts were warmed, and the spirit of Christmas was truly felt across the campus. The “Bundle of Joy” became a symbol of unity—showing our learners that they are remembered, valued, and never alone, especially during this season of love.

The SSLG officers, under the guidance of Mrs. Esterlita Asilom, extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who willingly took part in this donation drive. Your generosity and willingness to give have brought comfort and joy to many, and have strengthened the sense of community within our school.

This meaningful activity would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our beloved Principal, Dr. Melita L. Maglajos, together with the Officers-In-Charge of both the Old Site and New Site—Mrs. Rusella Maluenda, Mrs. Ma. Lourdes Man-on, Mrs. Joycelyn Llego, Mrs. Louie Joy Laguros,Mrs.Gemma Asilo, and Mrs. Jasmin Angilan—whose guidance and encouragement made this endeavor truly special.

Our sincerest thanks also go to all the donors, both within and beyond the campus. Your generosity has touched lives and reminded us that even the smallest act of kindness can bring great comfort.

Above all, we give thanks to our Almighty God. All glory, honor, and adoration belong to Him, for He is the source of love that binds us together and the joy that fills our hearts this Christmas season.

NATIONAL CHILDRENS' MONTH & NATIONAL STUDENTS DAY CELEBRATION 2025💙🤍

“Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bawat Batang Mag-aaral, Ipaglaban!”

A Celebration of Unity, Purpose, and Youth Empowerment.✨

The school community marked a meaningful observance of National Children’s Month and National Students’ Day, beginning on November 17, with a series of activities dedicated to promoting children’s rights, amplifying learner voices, and strengthening the shared commitment of all education stakeholders to child protection and youth empowerment.

This year’s celebration placed strong emphasis on raising awareness about the prevention of Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) — a vital reminder for learners to remain vigilant, informed, and empowered in navigating digital spaces.

To begin, the Pledge of Commitment united students in their promise to uphold integrity, respect, and responsibility — reaffirming their important role in building a safe, caring, and learner-centered community.

Furthermore, the recitation of the Panatang Makabata underscored the shared duty to protect the rights and welfare of every Filipino child. It encouraged students to become active advocates of safety, dignity, and justice for themselves and for others.

In addition, wearing blue shirts symbolized peace, unity, and youth empowerment — a simple yet powerful visual expression of solidarity in championing children’s rights and well-being.👔

Moreover, the fun-filled games brought joy and camaraderie to the event. While entertaining, these activities also highlighted the values of teamwork, cooperation, and respect — essential qualities that strengthen students’ character and community spirit. This week of engaging activities also aligned with the nationwide observance of the National Play Advocacy Week held every third week of November, emphasizing the importance of play in fostering children’s holistic development, creativity, and emotional well-being.⛹️‍♀️⛹️‍♂️

As part of this year’s focused advocacy, a Poster Making Activity related to the theme was conducted, allowing learners to express their understanding of child safety and protection through creativity. This not only showcased their talent but also deepened their awareness of the importance of combating OSAEC and CSAEM.

This meaningful celebration would not have been possible without the steadfast support of our school leadership.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our beloved School Principal, Dr. Melita L. Maglajos, for her unwavering guidance and commitment to student welfare; to our dedicated SSLG Adviser, Mrs. Esterlita Asilom, for her leadership and encouragement; to all the school administrators for their continuous efforts in supporting child-centered programs; and to our hardworking teachers who consistently nurture, guide, and inspire our learners — each playing an essential role in the success of this event.🌷✨

Indeed, the National Children’s Month and National Students’ Day Celebration 2025 was more than a commemoration — it was a powerful call to action to safeguard the rights, safety, and future of every learner. Together, let us continue to stand firm, uphold the theme, and remain united in the fight to protect every Filipino child.👭👬

“Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bawat Batang Mag-aaral, Ipaglaban!”
Mabuhay ang kabataang Pilipino — pag-asa ng bayan!🫧💙✨

JUST IN: CATIGBIAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL HAS ONCE AGAIN LAUNCHED "BUNDLE OF JOY” CHRISTMAS DONATION DRIVE

As the Christmas season is approaching, Catigbian National High School continues its tradition of sharing love and care for others, embodying the true spirit of Christmas by lending a helping hand to those in need. This heartwarming drive invites everyone to contribute, no matter how small, as every gift brings a smile to a child's face. By participating in the "Bundle of Joy" drive, you'll not only make a tangible difference in the lives of less fortunate students, who will receive essential items and experience the joy of Christmas, but also foster a sense of community and kindness within the school, reminding everyone that even the smallest acts of generosity can have a profound impact on those around us, and inspiring a spirit of compassion and empathy that will extend far beyond the holiday season.

Clean-up Drive 2025! ✨♥︎

In a remarkable display of teamwork and community spirit, we joined forces with the SSLG officers, Youth for Environment Student Organization (YES-O), and Barkada Kontra Droga Organization (BKD) to make our school a cleaner and greener haven for everyone.

Through this cleanup drive, we achieved more than just a physical transformation – we fostered a sense of community and social responsibility among our students. Moreover, this initiative sparked a sense of ownership and pride in our school, inspiring us to continue this momentum and encourage others to join us in keeping our school and community beautiful.

The success of this initiative would not have been possible without the invaluable support of several key individuals. Firstly, we extend our deepest gratitude to Mrs. Esterlita Asilom, adviser of the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG), whose mentorship and motivation played a pivotal role in transforming our vision into reality. Additionally, we thank Mrs. Kristina Patolilic, adviser of the BKD Organization, for her visionary leadership and encouragement, which helped us navigate the challenges of organizing this event. We also appreciate the invaluable support of Mrs. Nesyl Miculob, adviser of the YES Organization, whose guidance empowered us to overcome obstacles.

Ultimately, the triumph of this highly anticipated event can be attributed to the collective efforts of the CNHS family, under the visionary leadership of Dr. Melita L. Maglajos.

As Margaret Mead once said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” Our clean-up drive serves as a testament to the power of collaboration and community spirit.

Let's continue to work together to make our school and community an even better place! 💚🌟

Moreover, Mr. Carl Jones Hinlo, Kagawad of Barangay Poblacion, led the oath-taking ceremony, representing our Hon. Mayor Benjie Oliva.

In her closing remarks, Mrs. Esterlita Asilom, SSLG Adviser, emphasized the values and characteristics of every leader must have, where it takes heart and dedication to serve.

The success of this memorable event was a result of the collective efforts of the CNHS family, led by Dr. Melita L.
