𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖 | Samar Colleges, Inc. President Mr. Rhett Caesar L. Piczon participates in the 6th Annual Conference of the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) and the WURI Global Ranking Ceremony 2026, which will be held from May 6 to 8, 2026, at National Chi Nan University (NCNU) in Puli, Nantou County, Taiwan.

A major highlight of the event is the HLU–WURI Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MMOU) 2026 Signing Ceremony on May 7, 2026, afternoon, where around 60 university presidents, including Pres. Piczon, are expected to formalize global collaboration across the WURI network of 1,900+ universities worldwide.

𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 | 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡

This is to officially inform all SC students and employees that classes and office operations are hereby SUSPENDED effective immediately for the remaining hours of today, May 4, 2026, due to the recently reported earthquake with magnitude 6.1 centered in San Julian, Eastern Samar, which was felt at intensity V in Samar.

This is to ensure the safety of everyone and to allow for necessary precautionary inspections of facilities, as well as to remain alert for possible aftershocks.

All classes and office work are expected to resume tomorrow, May 5, 2026, unless significant damage is identified or otherwise advised by local authorities.

SC was likewise recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Professional Regulatory Board of Criminology (PRBC) for producing a topnotcher, reaffirming SC's commitment to excellence in criminology education.
