๐ฆท๐ซง Dental Health Month Activity-cum-Handwashing Drive 2026 ๐ซง๐ฆท
Silanga National High School successfully conducted its Dental Health Month Activity-cum-Handwashing Drive, an informative and engaging activity aimed at promoting proper oral hygiene and handwashing practices among our learners.
The highlight of the event was the actual redemonstration of proper toothbrushing and handwashing techniques, where students actively participated and confidently showed the correct steps. This hands-on activity strengthened their understanding of maintaining good oral health and preventing the spread of diseases through proper hygiene.

Career Day 2026 Successfully Conducted
Career Day 2026, with the theme โDressed for the Dream: Becoming the Future You,โ was successfully conducted at Silanga National High School. The activity provided Grade 12 learners with meaningful exposure to various career pathways through inspiring messages and informative career talks.
The program opened with a Welcome Message from Liezel Saldo, SHS TVL Department Head.
Career Talks were delivered by Ms. Cherrydale Queen H. Uy, Registered Nurse from Catbalogan City (Healthcare and Allied Health); Ms. Louie Joy N. Nazareno, Licensed Civil Engineer from the City Engineering Office, Catbalogan City (Engineering and Technology); Mr. Allen Jay V. Iman, Criminology Instructor from Samar Colleges, Inc. (Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement); PFC Mat Raymond I. Barrantes of the Philippine Army (Military and Defense Services); Ms. Roxanne Hope Gruta Mores, Seawoman Second Class of the Philippine Coast Guard (Maritime Security and Public Service); and Mr. Julius Bryan L. Aler, Senior High School Teacher (Education).
An Open Forum facilitated by Beato K. Camas, Senior High School Guidance Coordinator, allowed students to interact with the speakers. Certificates were awarded by Riza E. Cafรฉ, MT-II/Filipino Department Head and Officer-in-Charge.
This successful event would not have been possible without the dedication and leadership of Connie M. Bernardo, Guidance Counselor Designate. Through the collaborative efforts of the administration, faculty, speakers, and students, Career Day 2026 was effectively implemented and achieved its purpose of guiding learners toward informed and purposeful career decisions.

โจ BARKADA KONTRA DROGA SYMPOSIUM 2026 โจ

Silanga National High School successfully conducted the Barkada Kontra Droga Symposium on February 20, 2026, at 8:00 AM at the school covered court. The activity aimed to strengthen studentsโ awareness about the dangers of illegal drugs and to promote safe and respectful spaces within the school community.
The program formally opened with the Philippine National Anthem, prayer, and welcome message from BKD Adviser Mrs. Maria Luisa C. Versoza. Although our School Principal II, Mr. Alicio C. Jamin, was unable to attend due to an important matter, the activity was closely coordinated and supported through the leadership of our MAPEH Head and MT-I, Mam Ligaya Nofiel, who served as the point person on his behalf.
The highlight of the symposium proper was the insightful and informative talks delivered by our distinguished speakers:

Their discussions empowered our students with knowledge, awareness, and the courage to stand firm against illegal drugs while fostering a culture of respect and safety in school.
The activity also featured intermission numbers from selected students, a heartfelt Pledge of Commitment, awarding of Certificates of Appreciation to our resource speakers, a closing message, and an open forum where students were able to actively participate and ask questions.
This meaningful event would not have been possible without the collaborative efforts of our faculty, BKD officers, student leaders, and guests.

The school successfully conducted the Third-Quarter Portfolio Day cm SPTA General Assembly. The activity strengthened the schoolโhome partnership through the presentation of learnersโ academic progress and the discussion of important school updates.
During the program, Maโam Connie M. Bernardo shared with the parents important information about the School Early Registration and the One Values Program (OVP), encouraging their continued support and participation.

TODAY : Silanga National High School proudly concludes this yearโs National Reading Month with a vibrant and inspiring celebration anchored on the theme, โReading is a bridge to a future full of hope.โ
One of the most delightful highlights of the program was seeing everyone dressed as their favorite book characters, adding color, excitement, and life to the entire celebration. The parade of characters brought stories to reality and reminded us that reading will always open doors to imagination and possibility.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all facilitators who dedicated their time, expertise, and unwavering support in conducting the various contests and activities throughout the month.
