The SSU Bamboo Team held the 1 day program for bamboo farmers at Basey, Samar last July 18, 2023. The main objective of the training was to assist Basey in developing its bamboo business and bamboo plantation while also increasing awareness of financial literacy.
A pre-assessment was administered to the bamboo farmers. The purpose of the pre-assessment was to identify their needs and knowledge in terms of financial management and entrepreneurship. The discussion covered topics such as Increased Understanding of Financial Concepts, Improved Financial Planning, Enhanced Income Management, Savings and Investment, and Debt Management. A total of 52 bamboo farmers attended the discussion about the program's activities.
