The IT Society proudly joins the College of Arts and Sciences Provincial Student Government in fostering meaningful leadership, effective communication, and stronger student organizations through the 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 and 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 held on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at the 𝗦𝗦𝗨 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿.

The 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 facilitated by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗢. 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆, 𝗥𝗡, reminded student leaders that true leadership is not about standing at the front, but about lifting others, inspiring collaboration, and becoming a driving force for lasting change.

Meanwhile, the 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩, led by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗕𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗗. 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗯𝗮𝘁, Vice Governor of the CAS Provincial Student Government, highlighted the importance of precision, clarity, and effective communication in transforming ideas into meaningful action.

For us in the IT Society, these lessons are especially valuable. Technology is not only about systems, tools, and innovation—it is also about the people who lead, communicate, collaborate, and use technology to create meaningful solutions.

Today’s activities serve as a reminder that "great leaders do not just have a vision; they know how to communicate that vision, bring people together, and turn ideas into action." 🚀

Earlier today at 8:00 AM, the Oath-Taking Ceremony for the Municipal, Society, and Provincial CAS Organizations was successfully held at the CAS Audio-Visual Center (AVC).

This event marks the beginning of a new chapter of leadership, service, and commitment for our newly inducted officers. As members of the IT Society, we look forward to working together to create meaningful initiatives, foster collaboration, and serve the student community with excellence.

The 𝐈𝐓 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 & 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 invite all 𝐈𝐓 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬/𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 to attend the Online General IT Orientation. The orientation will discuss important organizational matters, including the introduction of officers, membership guidelines, committee requirements, reports, future plans, and other important announcements for the A.Y. 2026–2027.

While the Google Meet session is intended for IT Class/Homeroom Officers, all IT students are warmly invited to join the orientation through the official livestream. We encourage everyone to participate and stay informed as we begin another exciting academic year together.

The successful conduct of the 𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐇-𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘 𝐋𝐆𝐔𝐬: 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲, 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐔𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 extension activity on July 15–16, 2026 at the CAS ACAD IT Laboratory provided public servants with the opportunity to strengthen their digital competencies through lectures, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and presentation of outputs.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of faculty members, staff, and student volunteers committed to promoting digital literacy and technological innovation in public service.

The IT Society extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Mae V. Cañal for delivering the welcome message and for her continued support of extension initiatives.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our resource speakers—Prof. Joey R. Pangilinan, Prof. Homer D. Galaroza, Prof. Sweet Mercy F. Pacolor, and Prof. Mark Angelo S. Bathan—for generously sharing their expertise and equipping participants with practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and the Legislative Management and E-Session System (LMES).

Special recognition is also given to Prof. Mark B. Escalante, whose initiative helped bring this extension activity into fruition, and to Prof. Donnaville L. Rubio for serving as Masters of Ceremony and ensuring the smooth flow of the two-day program.

We also extend our appreciation to Prof. Erickson L. Niego for his support and for delivering the closing remarks, as well as to the IT instructors and IT Society Officers for their invaluable assistance in facilitating the success of the activity.

Finally, we commend all participating public servants for their active participation and eagerness to learn. May the knowledge and skills gained from this extension activity continue to contribute to more efficient, innovative, and technology-ready local government services.

Yesterday, July 15, 2026, BSIT students gathered at the 5th Floor, ACAD Building, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) for the General Meeting for Elections, where the First Year BSIT Homeroom Elections, IT Society Elections, and Municipal Officer Elections were successfully conducted.

The event marked another milestone for the BSIT community as students took part in choosing leaders who will represent, serve, and inspire their fellow IT students throughout Academic Year 2026–2027.

Congratulations to all the newly elected First Year Homeroom Officers, IT Society Officers, and Municipal Officers! May your leadership be guided by dedication, integrity, and a genuine commitment to serving the IT community.
